Agreed. It's a damn good beer. Some bourbon barrel stouts feel like they just filled a quarter of the bottle with bourbon. Sixteen is very well balanced and very drinkable.

 

Bravo to him, I could definitely not wear a kilt in that cold.

 

Serious? The event was 4 days ago. I'm impressed.

I certainly prefer to drink my beers. But, I just tend to save the good stuff for the weekends. For example, I would never drink 3-4 bcs proprietor's the first week I got them. 1) I'd be useless at work. 2) I'd go through withdrawal once I ran out. Sadness would ensue.

 

we drank 2 just the night of the event, 1 the day after, and i drank one tuesday. i am a firm advocate of drinking your beer and never aging it. maybe a gueze or lambic here or there, but thats about it. anyone who has seen my instagram knows i cant stand holding onto things hahahaa. but especially with proprietors... i especially want to drink those now (already downed 7 of them) before all that goodness leaves and im left with just a "pretty good" barrel aged stout instead of an "incredible" ba stout

 

Amen. I'm the guy on here that yells at people to drink all of their coffee stouts immediately. lol.
