Btw, what are pinwheels? Like the shiny spiny things on a stick? If so, yes please. Sounds like a party.

You got a card? all I got was an uneasy feeling of leaving money at the tasting room. Lol

Sorry man, Trevor just thought you were tipping him. You didn't actually get a membership.

Noticed today that the Keepers Beer "Lily" was removed from their draft list, when "faux pas" was added.. Gotta say I was really looking forward to trying this one. Its always nice to try on draft rather than having to open your 1 and only bottle.
Hints of it still being thrown on draft, but why remove it from the list then?

Pinwheels are those litte tortilla rolls with cream cheese and deli meat in them. Not nearly as exciting as a real pinwheel but much more edible.

We got a room at the mar clair and they did give us a discount because we mentioned we were going for the De Garde release. ($76 down to $70 for a double queen) they also allow dogs for $10.

I say they should be on draft, but for Keepers only.

No cards. You should have been given the other half of the sheet you filled out after we tore it in half. Its really nothing exciting. Just says what the membership is about. Sorry for the uneasiness.

It was probably removed because it's awful. I'll take your bottle for proper disposal, you won't be missing anything.

    Not trying to be negative.
First Block 15 announces they wont be realeasing pappys dark.
then lily gets removed from the release tap list.
then the bottle limits get changed less than 20hrs before the release.
Now Vin Lee is 6 and Loak is 12
Now i get to decide which people who have given me money for bottles i get to let down..
For us traveling 250+miles each way to the release this is quite frustrating...

Hopefully all these last minute changes will not be the regular. As not everyone checks BA and De Gardes Facebook daily. I know alot of people are going to be very dissapointed..

Hope there is still stuff left at 4pm as they will open whats left back up for sale.

Would you rather drive 250 miles and get no bottles at all?

Better of Trevor to announce it before the release rather than while you're in line. I say its a classy move on his part. He saw there was a lot of people coming and adjusted the limits to get beer in more peoples hands. I would guess all future DeGarde releases will have limits.

You realize without bottle limits there is a chance you would have gotten 0 bottles, right?
Would you rather a brewery release an inferior product just so you can have bottles?
Both Nick (B15) and Trevor(De Garde) are class acts, they are, as was mentioned, attempting to let as many as possible get beer and beer which is ready. I fail to see how this makes them assholes, many a brewery would a) just decide whilst people are in line and b) release inferior product and say tough shit.

You always have the option of not driving 250+ miles and drowning in your disappointment at home.

    cheers!

Don't promise bottles when you aren't sure you can get them. Don't complain about limits when you are showing up late, Trevor is looking out for you, not the people who show up on time. Please show some respect for the man who is acting in your best interest.

    Cheers?

Nick at Block 15 can and has dropped limits during brunch based on the number of people in line outside. This is pretty standard practice. And if Pappy's hadn't been pulled, this forum would be full of people complaining. So good for both brewers for attempting to make the beers and experience as pleasant as possible for everyone.
