Question for those living close to the brewpub. I understand that Zombie Dst is one of their year round beers available in 6 packs and cases from the brewpub. I live about 250 miles from there and would risk a roadtrip to pick some up. How prevelant is it at the brew pub? Is it one of those beers that you can usually pick up there or is it very scarce even at the brewspub? Just don't want to drive 500 miles round trip to come home empty handed.

Hit or miss. Call ahead and verify before making the trip.

It's available frequently, but it definitely sells out quickly. Like DoubleO says, call ahead.

Wow, a 500 mile road trip. I hope there are some other places you can stop and check out.

I was there yesterday and ZD was still available (two case maximum) and it's fresh off the bottling line (bottled 1/31/14). Like others have mentioned, it's best to check the beer-to-go menu on their website and call ahead just to make sure. Worst-case scenario is you enjoy some stellar beers on tap with some top-notch food while listening to some classic doom metal. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon / evening.

As of yesterday afternoon, they still had cases. Put the brewpub in your phone and once they answer, hit "3" and you can hear whats available for the day. Now if they would only update it a little earlier!

I could possibly help you out and pick up a case or 2 if you want to make sure it's there and available. I live ~10 minutes away and could stop by one day after work if that works for you. Just BM me if you want to set something up like that.

    Thanks,
    Josh

Just be aware that they have a combined 2 case limit on what you can pick up. If you want 2 cases of ZD, then you can't buy any bombers or cases of their other beers. I heard a story of a guy who rented a U-Haul and pulled up to the door saying "bring me all the ZD that this truck can hold", followed by an employee giving him his 2 case maximum.

love it...what a greedy profiteering shitbird...obviously wasnt going to drink a truckload of a pale ale in 3 months, he was going to sell it for 20 dollars a sixpack...someone should have slit his tires

Sounds like an urban legend that didn't really happen. More likely a guy drove his truck there, to have lunch and pick some beer up to go. Having just enjoyed a ZD on tap, he inquired about buying some to go, and was met with a "you can, but there is a two case limit" response. Jokingly he said something like "damn, I was hoping to fill up my truck!"

Through word of mouth that turns into him renting a uhaul and going there to fill it up. I'm surprised it doesn't continue with him wanting several truck loads so he can load up his boxcar on the hype train and ship across country.

What about the guy who rented an aircraft carrier, and when he pulled up they placed two cases on it.

Is this new? I would routinely get 2 cases plus a handful of bombers whenever I went down there. Granted, it's been a few months.
