I just told my girlfriend that I needed her on alert when the truck is spotted...lol.

I love and hate this day all in one. Last year some douche was yelling at the cashier in TW, telling him he'd been calling all day. It was 11am. I told the guy it wasn't that serious and to relax.

We've already gotten calls about this release..... Can't wait for people complaining about limits and stories of hoarding. CANT WAIT.

I can assure you that rural PA does not have KBS on shelves.

How someone acquires a case of KBS is so far beyond me.... I have a hard time with a bottle or two, and even at that, I feel like I got had at $8 or $10 a piece.

All I can say (again) is that depending where you live in the country, some things you can find by the case and other things you can't find a single bottle of (BCBS, BCBCS here in Philly). I'll certainly post if I really DO get a case!

I still see it around town....for $9.99/bottle. There used to be a time when I could buy it for $19.99/4pk a month or three after the release date. Now, people hoard cases at their local bottle shops. Its good, but I like to taste different beers not collect cases of them.

KBS threads are more rewarding than the beer. I look forward to the release day entertainment every year.

Yeah I don't get the hype on this one. It's great, don't get me wrong, but the maniacal pursuit of this one makes me think folks just looking for KBS are looking for that ~rare~ taste that big bad baptist can't provide. I personally think that bourbon and coffee are better enjoyed independently, and can rattle of many BBA or coffee additive stouts that are just as enjoyable, and way easier on the wallet/mind/etc than KBS.

Of course, I'll buy a 4pk if I see one though

I didn't like Breakfast stout, too much of a coffee flavor for my tastes. On the other hand I did enjoy the Imperial Stout, which was much less coffee flavor to it. Generally speaking though, if I given the choice, I'd take a good IPA over a stout, but I will still drink a stout if it's good. If the KBS leans more towards FBS in taste vs the IS, I will probably not like it, but I will still purchase a pack just to see what it tastes like.

I'm kind of a craft newbie here but we all gotta start somewhere right?

Lizardville in Lakewood, OH is tapping KBS today at 4:00 PM. No idea where they landed a keg of it this early in the year. Probably going to be chaos there when they open.

    EDIT: It's Lakewood, not BH.

Damn. Must be a 2013! Would love to go, but I'm not dealing with the craziness.

That's the only thing I could think of too. Maybe they just stashed it aside for a while, who knows. Also, I messed up...its the new Lakewood LV not the Bedford location.

I've only had Bourbon County fresh (out of the bottle and on-tap), and I was somewhat underwhelmed; I didn't think it was nearly as good as KBS.
