New Illinois breweries thread

Urban Legend in Westmont has been doing a soft opening of its tap room while also holding events at area businesses and showing up at beer fests. My crew of flunkies and I enjoyed some Catherine the Great IIPA at a cookout this weekend.

 

Don't know the name, but my GF's brother claims one just opened in McHenry.

 

Ahh yes, that's the one. Hoping to venture up there within a couple weeks.

 

Imperial Oak is building a 7 barrel brewery and taproom in Willow Springs.

 

A nano brewery is operating in Pekin, IL (Crescent Sun Brewing Co.) and is self-distributing ~1bbl/week locally.

Also, a Kickstarter for Peoria Brewing Co. is up and running, 22 days to go. Chicago has enough breweries, us loners in Central Illinois need some beer love. Even Southern Illinois puts us to shame in Peoria.

a real brewery in orland park, yey! There will be 5 breweries (well technically 3 if if discount RB & Granite) within a few miles radius of orland/tinley. But hell, bring it on.

FYI Hailstorm is actually in Tinley Park, just off of 80th ave and 183rd. I think the address listed on there is just Brandon's home or the office in which it was filed.

 

I fail to see how all these places will survive. Call me a doubter. Too many 'meh' IPAs, porters, and the like for $8 or $9 / bomber. #goodlucknewbrewery

Moody Tongue seems interesting and on the plus side,local to me.
I saw on everyblock yesterday that they just got their business license so i can only imagine the opening is real soon.

I kinda hate IPA's and we don't plan on ever making one but I might just for sh*ts and giggles and call it MehPA, have you copyrighted that and do I owe you money?
