Half for me, half for the stew.

but there is the consolation that the disappointment only cost £1.09

    Gotlands Wisby Weisse for me
some 12 year old Cardhu may be involved.

    Tonight is the missus birthday
went to Indian restaurant with BYOB
a bottle of Sharp's Doombar makes me wonder am I the only one that finds this bottled V bland
Chiron provided enough flavour and so far has to be the beer that has translated to bottle best from Thornbridge

Back home and opening Wychwood's BlackWych
I'm sure from memory this was okay.

Started off with I&G's Scottish pale ale. Meh - light malts and oak just don't work.

Now on Ilkley's Mary Jane. Better....

Had it on cask today, and I reckon it has gone downhill a bit recently. Not hugely but just lost some of that character you get with a truly good cask ale.

Perhaps my memory is skewered because I drank it first in Cornwall on cask and it was well kept
as opposed to the usual Pedigree/Directors/Flowers IPA served through lines that were either
filthy or the cleaning fluid hadn't been properly rinsed out

    Crafty Dan Fruity Pale Ale
Obviously the 330ml varieties were developed after coz this warrants giant red illuminated letters
    spelling out 'T WA T S'
It's even worse than the Big Ben

I'm waiting for the weather to get a tad more mild before they ship but, I'm getting some Thomas Hardy Ales...1994, 2004, and 2005. Next week looks promising.

    Bateman's B Bock.
This isn't even the best beer in my glass
let alone in the Sainsbury's beer hunt.

Had another half of Stone/Adnams DIPA and a pint of Banks’s / Three Weavers / Golden Road California Session IPA today - was fairly good without setting my tastebuds alight, had a nice lingering bitterness

Yeah it's their continuing series of getting american brewers over to brew them beers at british breweries

    They are usually fairly decent

far too many beers last weekend to list after a visit to Brugge Beer Festival, I note that I have over 20 ticks against beers in the programme which equates to about 4 liters and that doesn't include the many beers at Brugs Beertje, Red Rose, Le Trappiste, Vlissinghe and, of course the obligatory visit to Cantillon.
Already planning to return next year.
Struise were well represented with new beers as well as Black Albert, Black Berry Albert and Double Black

I had a pint of Tennents today at lunchtime, it's the first time I've had Tennents from keg in what must be a couple of years. Was a lot better than the canned stuff I've had more recently

It wasn't good, but it wasn't terrible.
