I've tried a lot of stuff, most of which I have LOVED but I had only given five perfect 5's. However, on Superbowl Sunday I tried Southern Tier Creme Brulee. I haven't given a 5 since I tried Three Floyds Zombie Dust last May.

    What was your last 5?

I have yet to give a 5, but my most recent over 4.5 was Hopslam. Here's hoping I get to give my first 5 this weekend when I crack open my first Top 10 beer - Pliny the Elder.

I'm going to light candles and videotape myself drinking it. Just Kidding. But seriously.

I would have given it a 5 but I held back a little for no real reason - Schloss Eggenberg Samichlaus! 5/5

Westbrook Gozu...best in the style for me, though I do have a bottle of Rapp Gose that I haven't cracked yet that I hear may displace Gozu as #1 in the Gose style for me!

I wouldn't quite go that far... As good as it is, I think most of the top 10-15 hop bombs are on the same playing field... That is, unless you having it within a few days fresh on draft or something

Eh, if we're going by the date I rated it up here, it was Sammy Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout. But that beer had a 5 in my heart a long, long time ago. Liquid candy, and probably the most sessionable stout I could ever imagine.

Enjoy the session! Like Mcj stated, there are plenty others out there that compare to PtE. I've had many that I thought were better, yet I still buy PtE whenever it's available. It's better fresh of course, but aren't all IPA's? Enjoy!

I've never given a 5/5. My highest rated beer is Union Jack at 4.68, and it's an extraordinary brew. Conversely, my lowest rated beer is Insanity at 2.68. I remember when I first started reviewing beers -- someone told me that terrible scores and perfect scores should be few and far between.

I think I've given a handful of perfect category 5s.
