What beer are you drinking now? #476

Love this beer. Though I've only had a couple examples I can easily say Coffee IPA's are one of my new favorite styles of beer.




Glad I picked up a couple 4-packs of it and I hope I am able to get some more. Cuddled up on the couch, relaxing with the new puppy while enjoying my beer.

Yeah, I've tried this one, Stone's Dayman, and another from the Portland area (the brewery name escapes me at the moment) and I've found then all to be delicious with fresh, lightly roasted coffee bean notes upfront with a really complimentary hop backing. The color surprised me as well, but it seems to be consistent in the couple examples I've tried.

Morning y'all! Omystarz! Southern Tier is doing a series called 2XONE that showcases a single hop variety and a single malt. There's nothing else in this beer but Mosaic hops and Special Pale Malt. What an opportunity to observe the qualities of different hop varieties. I love this beer and "early schmerly." Cheers!

Our power is back on! The saving grace of losing power for a couple of days in the winter was that, as a BA, one of the things I never worried about was the availability of cold beer! I'm going to savor this ultra-fresh DirtWolf and hope the rest of my fellow BA's in the area without power soon get back on the grid, too. Then after having a few more, I'm going to grab my chainsaw and go to work on that carnage from our recent ice storm.



EDIT: My wife just informed me that I will not be operating a chainsaw under the influence. Why does she have to be so damn… rational?

Leftovers from last night. Titan IPA. Prairie Noir. Prairie Vanilla Noir. SN Bigfoot. Roughtaill IPA. All the Coors and Bud Lite is gone, maybe a Moosehead is left, dunno. Saving a big bottle of Roughtail Rock Tsar for NBS, but I don't know if I can hold out that long. Would post pic, but tech-savvy young 'uns are all passed out right now.

Malty to beat the band after 2 years in waiting. But still a tasty brew, even though the flavor profile isn't up my alley. Has anyone had a really bad beer from CCB? (This is the better photo-bombs of the 2 for this pic!)

A lil blind tasting between Stone EB and Lagunitas Sucks. I think I preferred the Sucks...or...did I say Stone......ummm I don't remember and really does it matter???!!! They are both awesome!

Then a Sucks three-way with JZ and his wife. Get yer minds outta da gutter!!!

Had to bring the Heady home in a travel mug for later today, getting up at 5:00am really crushes any late nights for me!

Posting the whole album since we watched the video for Valley of the Kings last night. Man this takes me back, just a great hair metal super group.
