I'm sorry if this topic has been covered before. After sipping on my first NN I am enjoying every sip but to me it seems VERY similar to SN Celebration. The hop profile is slightly different but in about every other aspect it seems pretty close.

I am just wondering if anyone else feels the same way about these two amazing brews?

Although I will say with this much bitterness in the Nectar they still managed to get a good deal of malt popping up on the back.

I didn't find them similar beyond both being hoppy beers. I prefer the NN, I think it has more to offer, a more complex brew. Interesting comp though. Might make a good side-by-side tasting.

I'd take NN any day over Celebration.

    Cheers!

While I like Celebration a lot, I don't see it as comparable to Nugget Nectar. I do prefer Nugget Nectar over Celebration.

Damn, two beers that I really look forward to during their respective times of the year. If I HAD to choose which one I think is a better beer, I guess I would go with Nugget Nectar. Still, they are both awesome brews. I could see comparing them but I think Nugget Nectar's hop flavors are much different from Celebration's.

NN is significantly better than Celebration in my opinion.

I enjoy Celebration when it comes out, but I do not look forward to it the way I do Nugget Nectar. This was a pretty simple decision for me.

Other than the fact that they're both beer, and they're both fairly hoppy, I don't find them to be all that similar.

I like Celebration but Nugget Nectar is FAR better. I also find the two to be very different beers.

I prefer Celebration. Fuller body and comes across hoppier to my palate. Just drank one. I do get a lot of orange-y flavor in both beers.

Across the board I prefer Sierra Nevada IPAs/hoppy beers to Troegs.

I heard Perpetual IPA was going to become year round? That should make some Nugget Nectar fans happy.

    Not too sure!
If youre willing to send me some NN, id be happy to answer this!
Currently have some Celebration in my fridge. On a biased note, id pick Celebration.

Yeah I do not think Celebration is like NN at all and NN is way better in my opinion.

Thanks for everyones answers on this one! I still disagree and find them to be similar. To me they are both very dry, bitter, VERY floral (although be it different in the way they are floral), with a pronounced biscuit breadiness on the back.

In the past I'd say this was crazy talk. But what I've had of Nugget Nectar 2012 so far does actually taste a bit like Celebration. Far more so than in the past. The 2012 edition seems more bitter, not as smooth, a little off.
