Has anyone heard if/when Black Note is being released this year?

No release date or event. Randomly hits bell's general store. Once the info hits the inter-web, hordes of us FIB line the border like we got first picks because of a deal involving Detroit's bankruptcy.

 

I would not expect to see it distributed.

While it might see distro in Michigan, I was told, buy Bells, that we should not expect it to see distribution outside of Michigan. And thats if its distributed in Michigan.

One of the Bell's sales reps told me, in October, that they taste the barrels periodically to decide when to pull the beer. Seems like he said it can take anywhere from 6 months to two years until it's "ready".

What you should take away from the other thread is this: If anybody at Bells knows of an actual planned release date, they aren't talking.

 

Per the advice of the friendly clerk at the General Store, "all you can do is keep calling to check."

 

Operate under the assumption that no one will ever have prior knowledge of a Black Note release. This question has been asked repeatedly and no one has ever had any prior knowledge of an upcoming release to share. Doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results....

How long did it last in the general store last year?

 

My liquor store guy knows nothing either. Hes asked Bells, heard nothing from them.

 

I was told "When it's released" by my Bell's peeps.

 

I was talking to a Bell's rep for the area that I live in, and he told me that I should expect to see it in Chicagoland. God, I hope I'm right!

 

It was in Chicagoland last year but extremely limited. One 12 oz bottle limit I recall in some places. I would expect the same this year.
