I was searching for different recipes on chicken wings recently and came across some food website that had this picture and I found myself not even looking at the wings, but noticed:

    1. Goose Island Sofie. What an amazing beer, and nice to see it in this photo.
    2. Whoa, what a contrast between the two beers I see: Sofie and Miller High Life.
    3. What is that beer coaster? What brewery is it from...?

I then started searching for beer coasters and never went back to looking up wing recipes.
    This is normal, right?

Miller High Life was my go to during my soph/junior years of college. It is the champagne of beers after all...

Yeah, looks like the Bell's Expo nautical emblem to me! Great thread title and no, OP, you're perfectly normal! How bout, when my son's travel baseball schedule comes out, the first thing I look at, is what states I'll be traveling to and what beer/breweries I'll be buying or visiting?

Except I can read Brooklyn, NY on the coaster. It does look like Bells Expo but it can't be with Brooklyn on it, right?

Same thing happens to me while watching shows and movies. If i see a beer i identify it then slowly fade away thinking of the beers i have tried or want to try from said brewery.

Looks like a variation of this 1960-70s Piels design (w/red lettering instead of blue):

Had you not mentioned the wings in your post I am not sure I would have even noticed them.

Seems like a waste of a good Sofie to drink it straight out of the bottle with a plate of buffalo wings.

Here is how my brain works, I spend just about every spare moment at work on BA reading threads and reviews. Base my vacations and work trips on what kind of local beer I can try. Every time I'm at the grocery store I walk through the beer section knowing damn good and well my wife will kill me because I just spent 50 bucks the day before on my haul for the week (sometimes I chance it). I stare at the airlock on my carboy. Catch myself walking past my refrigerator looking at the beers I have . I don't drink on work nights, so I count the days to my first day off.

Thats how my sick mind works.
