Nelson showers

Torture once again reading about Nelson. Enjoy it folks, we bystanders can only live it through you! I had a bottle of Citra Showers and it pleased my palate very well, my style of beer!

 

Liquor Mart in Whittier got it today.

 

wow... whatta beer

right up there with the best beer of all time, Alpine Nelson... i would give Nelson the slight advantage over Nelson Showers only because I've had Nelson so many more times. I would have to do a side by side taste test to officially determine the winner but good lord, this is an amazing brew.

if you haven't tried it. go out of your way. find some. you won't regret it.

noble has definitely stepped it's game up. now if only they would make these special releases their regulars, they'd be on the alpine/kern/russian river level.

 

I was thinking the same thing. Either way fantastic beer and of course Im drinking it while typing this.

 

I've said a couple times on different threads that they're extremely close. I still give Alpine a slight edge because I think Nelson's a touch more refined/elegant. Either way, they're both worth doing whatever you can to obtain.

 

Any bottles still floating around at shops out there?

 

Hacienda Beverage in Fullerton (Brea?) posted they just got their shipment today.

 

Hollingshead posted today their bottles along with the Plinys.

 

I had some at the Anniversary Party yesterday. It's pretty good stuff, but I much prefer Citra Showers.

 

They're too different.. but if I had to choose one to drink all day, it'll have to be CS.

Nelson Showers released again today. stoked. coming off the heels of Galaxy i can now decide which was my favorite

wonder why they're doing it again and not something else first. not complaining

 

No bottle limit either, hope they rebrew citra showers soon

 

Wow. Go check out the keg of Galaxy at Mohawk, even better than the bottles.

 

Picked up some bottles today, as good if not better than the first release last February, props to Evan and the crew at Noble.

When I was in a few weeks ago, the bartendress told me they are going to be repeating the entire showers series, so we can expect CS to be coming up again soon!

 

The entire series? Was hoping they would now avoid one or two.

 

Damn, won't be able to swing over -- will have to give WF Venice a call and see when they're getting in. Last time around, really enjoyed Nelson.
