For ba 10.5 that seemed cheap is all.

Yup; the server told us that some of the rarer stuff might go as high as $30 for a filled crowler but the BA Fiddy was, indeed, $20----$17 for us with AHA. I'll definitely be back as I love me some BA Fiddy!!

I don't think they have BA Fiddy on all the time but I could very well be wrong. I've only been to the Tasty Weasel two or three times and they've had it all my visits there.

    unfortunately, no.
For me it's been 50/50. I try to keep up with their Facebook page, but they don't always post what they have. Or they'll post it way too late for me to make the trip out there on a Tuesday.
I've resorted to calling them and bothering the poor servers to find out. But it's either that or get all the way up there just to find out they released One Nut Brown on nitro

Well after having whiskey barrel-aged Ten-FIDY last week at Freshcraft I have to get a crowler for that stuff. You guys forced me to. Might head over to the Tasty Weasel after the Uncle Jacobs release this weekend. Any locals know if they still have any barrel-aged Ten-FIDY on tap?

for those interested, Tasty Weasel has a Whiskey Ten FIDY on tap as of 3PM today.
    I got 2 Crowlers filled for $20ea.
The price works out to pretty much the same as if I had bought 3 10z glasses of it. Actually better:
    (3) 10oz glasses for $7ea : $21 for 30oz
    Crowler: $20 for 32oz

    Works for me.

Thanks to Colorado innovation, I can do this :grinning:

Not sure if I would do that again though, lost a decent amount of beer to head. Will have to find a better way to transfer the beer, at the very least. Those two pours you see are from the crowler and from the TapIt Cap (using CO2). If anything I thought straight from the can would taste better than from the TapIt Cap, it was the opposite though (however, the crowler beer tasted like the TapIt beer once I finished the TapIt beer and transferred the crowler beer from my Yeti glass to the Odell glass. That can't be right though... that'd mean the Yeti glass isn't the best vessel to sip stouts from, and that's just not possible. Was a pretty noticeable difference btw.)

I'll open my Crowler next weekend and post how things went.
I'm also sending one to a friend in Vegas, so I'll get input on how it travels.

I'm sure OB would like the info too so they can try and make some adjustments.

I drank mine the same day, but bartender confidently said it's proven to last over a month. They also told me that they're filling a crowler of most everything they tap and tossing them into a cellar to test quality. Think of it as a giant can. My beer poured like it was right from the tap...was perfect. And what a cool way to send folks home w shareable pours of your beer. I'm a fan.

I was told the same thing when I asked. I'm not going to wait a month to test it though. 6 days will be long enough for me to hold out on the BA Ten FIDY.

I'll post my and my friend's experience with the Crowler, mine will be about 6 days old, I'm guessingy friend's will be about the same.

If beers can really stay good for a month+, this could really change how to-go beer is done.
And maybe places like Avery would reconsider doing to-go beers since the beer would stay fresh a lot longer than a standard growler.

The TapIt Cap inventor (from Denver, if you're on here, I definitely want to buy you a beer and talk about bier) said beer from his device would last up to a month, I believe (instead of 2-14 days, depending on what a specific brewery says). Oskar Blue's says up to a month, so I'll let this sit for 2 months (1+1=2, right?) and report back on my findings.

Opened my Crowler today , 6 days old.
Poured easy, no foaming, not a drop of the beer lost.
Drinks exactly as I had it in the tap room.
Someone with more willpower will have to report on a month old Crowler
There will be many more Crowlers in my future.

Finally got my crowler of BA Ten-FIDY over the weekend. Let's see how much self control I have and I'll report back.

Well, I didn't make it 2 months, just 6 days... Still tasted like it came from the tap though, next time...

Had one 6 days old and it tasted great. The only problem I'm seeing with the crowler is that they let you fill it with tasty beers and no one has the will power to last more then a week for testing.
