Mirror Mirror release date announced. Did a search here and didn't find this. Anyway if you've tried this you know how great is this news. If not, man are you in for a treat!

"Limited availability in 22 ounce bottles and on draft beginning March 6th"

Thank you for time traveling into the future to taste it and provide a thorough report back, thereby saving the rest of us from wasting our hard earned cash on mediocrity.

Right, it isn't as if I'm basing my opinion on trying any of the past vintages or anything.

There are 420+ reviews of the beer on this site, all of which are longer than a single word. I'm just guessing that I, and others, may find an "opinion" more compelling if it contained at least one verb or a noun alongside an adjective. Something other than a conclusion, like a descripition and which past vintages you are basing the opinion upon, could be useful.

I'm also guessing that a new vintage just might not be identical to past vintages. Considering how much discussion there is comparing every new vintage of Abyss to past vintages, that seems plausible.

Here's hoping it makes its way to Ohio. So happy to have Deschutes here now.

But your actual review is a 4.22 and says Deschuttes is at the top of their game.

Right, and they were... Back in 2006 when the review is dated. That vintage did kick ass. The more recent release was mediocre. Really amusing that your eagle eye didn't spot that my review was 8 years old.

    I
I certainly spotted the age of the review. However, you have not updated it, so that stands as your "official position" on the beer. If you are so certain that an upcoming vintage, which you have not sampled, won't match it, perhaps you should delete, revise, or combine reviews, rather than offer one contradictory word in the forum.

It was a post on a forum, it doesn't have to be a review and wasn't intended to be one. And maybe you didn't notice but the post directly above mine was a single word as well, which is what I was riffing off of. You going to give him a chastising as well or is that reserved only for posts that aren't glowing praise? Also you cited variance in the Deschutes vintages and I'd agree. But I happen to think they've been getting worse, not better. That's what I base my assumptions on.

That's flat out fucking ridiculous. I'm glad you have time to update reviews for every beer from nearly ten years ago but I sure as shit don't. If the consequence is that a stranger thinks it's my gospel then that's a consequence I can accept.
