    That's humbling. I was going to share that I learned my late grandmother whose birthday is this Sunday, would have been 100 years old this weekend. Though she lived to 85, she did have a drinking problem, which got passed down to my dad. He's been sober almost 30 years now, to his credit.

    I'm enjoying a pale from a brewery in Norfolk, I hadn't had the chance to try any of O'Connor's stuff yet, even as I've seen them on menus at local restaurants. Moments ago here in Richmond, we heard a crack of thunder just after I thought I hallucinated seeing a flash of lightning -- a weird interlude between snowstorms!

    Giving Stone Ruination another chance, since the first time I tried it, I thought it was waaaaaaay too bitter.

    ...Yeah, it's still way too goddamn bitter. I love DIPA's and I'm definitely finishing it, but this is just obnoxious.

    Addendum: the bitterness gets more tolerable as I keep drinking. Still, not my favorite DIPA. this is leagues behind Heady and PTE.
