Normally my lady is pretty understanding about my love for craft beer. She understands that im not an alcoholic i just have a pallet for good tasting unique brew. However, today i spent over $100 on a few exclusives and she found out. I feel today her perception of my hobby has changes drastically.Let's just say the couch would be a lot more comfy then this leaky dog house im in. How does you're significant other feel? What situations have you been in that led you to the "doghouse"?

My girlfriend has seen me spend way more than 100 in one trip. Of course, we don't share the same finances so I imagine if we get married her take on it may change... In the mean time I'll keep treating her to beer dinners and trips to Huna day so she has no room to complain!

I recently got busted going over-board with several build your own 6packs. My wife is cool with the occasional splurge, she enjoys new beers as well, but with so many limited releases coming out I've spent more than we allotted to the beer funds. Now no new stuff for awhile........ welllllllllll, except for when Hopslam finally hits Jacksonville ...shhhh don't tell her!

I don't really care, and neither should you(or her about your beer business).

"What's that you say, honey? I spent too much on beer that you don't like/care about this week? Please dump me, so I can find someone who's cooler than you."

I call it a passion....she calls it alcoholism. I'm just playing. I have slowly got her in to craft beer, but when I show up with multiple whales she always ask how much I spent. I usually just avoid it like the plague.

My wife is pretty cool with it. I have not ventured into trading or crazy hauls yet, but I'm Sure it's on the horizon. Plus she likes good IPAs and it's nice to have someone to always taste with.

Hmm . . . I really do hope that the lady is more important than the brew guys. But my wife is cool about it. She never asks and I never give her a reason to ask. But I keep it to a strict $50 a week hobby. But $100 in one trip would be awesome for sure !

She bought me a Nugget Nectar as a part of my valentine's day present, so she's certainly not against it.

She samples almost every one of my beers and while she doesn't love most, she fell in love with HF Edward when we were in Vermont this past weekend. She also drinks typically alongside me with a glass of wine or a cocktail of some type. I think as long as I keep a decent control I doubt she cares much.

I'm also in the separate finance department so she really can't complain much about the money I spend.

My wife is awesome. We travel a few times a year for vacations/long weekends and she is the one who finds the cool beer locations to visit most of the time. With this crazy cold weather this winter, we decided to make a quick trip to Fort Lauderdale for Christmas. She is the one who suggested we go to Funky Buddha for dinner and great beer!

I keep asking her to get a better paying job so I can afford to buy more beer.

She's happy as long as I keep sending those All Day IPA cans her way. Plus, as many married guys will probably attest, my wife is in no position to give me shit with all the crap she buys.

Just made a trip to VT and grabbed a large amount of heady. She was super into it because her whole office wants to buy some. Brownie points for her, heady topper for me.

She thinks every beer is gross and tastes the same. No matter what style, it tastes like "beer."

    Except New Glarus.

I got her to like New Glarus. I won.

    She's my drinking buddy.

She'll drink any style; IPA, stout, sours, etc.,. She is supportive in anything beer related I do and actually bought me a deluxe homebrewing starter kit from Northern Brewer for Christmas!

She's not into beer except she does like Land Shark and Miller Lite and will partake in those very occasionally.

She balks at the money I spend on beer, and I don't even buy the expensive bombers.

I could go on but I really don't want to go down that rabbit hole... My philosophy is that I really don't do anything else, I have no expensive hobbies or toys so I'm going to drink good beer, dammit!

To her credit, though, she does like to stop at the Ellocottville Brewing Company when we go truckin' up to Buffalo... she likes the brewers fries and I like the pints or a flight and often a growler or 6 pack to go.
