So for most of the beers I drink I try to save the labels since saving bottles takes up wayyyy to much space but at this point I have accumulated a large amount of labels and I am unsure of what I want to do with them. Anyone else do this and have some ideas/pictures of what you have done with them? Obviously a collage of some sort is probably the best but not sure the best way to go about it....

If beers had their own individual caps that would be the best because saving caps would be so much easier than bottles and labels.

A collage would be cool. But, it would be even cooler if, this only really works if you have a home bar, you did the collage on a bar top and covered it with plexiglass.

If you're lucky enough to have a hunting cabin, a barn, a shed, or a very understanding wife, you can cut out the sides of six packs or cases and staple them to the walls. :grinning:

My dad has a buddy that puts labels in photo albums. I have saved about 500 labels to decorate the man cave one day.

at one point I had over 1000 labels. I made a huge poster/collage from them. my original thought was to try to turn it into a jigsaw puzzle and sell it to a puzzle company or something but just never got around to it. After my kids were born and moving 3 or 4 times it actually got ruined with some water and I tossed. After the initial poster was made, still had a few hundred labels that I eventually was going to lacquer a home bar with but my career as just made me move too many times and never could invest in the bar.

Maybe glue then shellac them to 1/8" small plywood pieces and hang them up? Voila! Practically art!

Good way to keep labels.. Stick them onto the backing of a 24x36" frame. Just finished this one tonight.. Still have a whole other frame to fill in.

Looks great! This is the inspiration I need. I have 300+ labels and a man cave/bar area with empty walls.
Question what did you use to adhere the labels to the cardboard?

Thanks a lot! Just a little bit of tape on some corners to keep them in place when I put them in the frame. The frame itself holds them pretty nicely. The hardest part is deciding where to put them.

Found a 24x36 poster frame and started this weekend.
Will likely be able to make several of these with what I've accumulated.
    Only worked on it a few minutes. So far;

You might want to trying ironing some of those wrinkled labels to flatten them out before glueing. Experiment with some doubles for iron setting (start at "warm" and go up slowly) steam/no steam, etc. I usually put the label or other old paper items in-between two plain sheets of white paper when ironing them. That'll prevent scorching and also from getting ink/dirt on iron. Be careful on metallic labels.

Oh, yeah. If you don't normally do your own ironing, for best results, do it when your wife/SO is not home or use the "back-up" iron down in the basement.

    Nice Pro Tip!

I have put some in between the pages of some thick hard back books. I'll see if that flattened a few of the extra wrinkly ones before I go full Fire Marshall Bill.....

Since it's for framed artwork, and not a bound collection or some such thing, I'd consider using an xacto and trimming off the ups and/or government warnings on some of these to maybe fit more and neaten up the overall appearance. Otherwise it' a cool idea and should look very cool when done!

I hadn't considered that, but that's a great idea! I have literately spent less than 15 minutes on this project.
Most of the labels are just laid out and not adhered to the cardboard yet. I'm sure this will allow some more space for more labels. I'm not very artsy or crafty....
