Down to the last 3 of my Abyss from 2011. This brew has now morphed into something that can only be described as "otherworldly". The roast and dark chocolate notes are still very much there, but what puts this beer on an entirely new dimension is the added complexity coming from the cherry fruitiness. Mind officially blown...

I think this is beer #13 for the day. I need sleep. Had some Blind Pig, Pliny the Elder, and Pliny the Younger earlier but it sure is nice to come home to a fridge full of Sucks.

First time trying this. Damn good IPA, I'm glad I finally got around to picking some up.

Up a little early and opened a bottle of Founders Breakfast Stout. This is so good. I haven't had one in about a month. Welcome back old friend.

Founder's Imperial Stout - seems to me a little too bitter for its high BA rating.

I was introduced to Westmalle Triple in Brussels by a co-worker who had formerly worked for a Belgian company. He told me that his introduction to it resulted in his not being able to feel his face after three or four. Ha ha. I quietly had three glasses on an empty stomach, got up to pee, and almost fell on my face :-)

Wow, what a huge weekend, and a great start to Sunday. It's been a few days since I've posted here, but I'll catch up real quick.

Yesterday I took a day trip up to VT. It was absolutely beautiful, and the beer was (obviously) fantastic. I have a little haul I brought back from HF, including a large growler of Everett, and two 750ml growlers of Society and Solitude #5. One 4-pack of Heady was all I could manage to find, but I got a ton of other great beer (including some HF and Grassroots bottles).

Lunch at Prohibition Pig was excellent, and I enjoyed Heady, Jack's Abbey Mass Rising, and Lost Nation Gose on tap. Mass Rising definitely left me feeling that all the love for JA on this site is well-deserved!

Pics in other threads; I won't deluge the WBAYDN? thread with pics of what I was drinking yesterday.

As to this lovely morning, one of my beer "finds" was Sculpin from this month. As befitting a large fish, I've been hunting fresh Sculpin for quite a while; I'd gone 0-for-2 in the past, getting two skunked and aged bottles. They had a ton of cans from early Feb at the Craft Beer Cellar, so it's finally time to hook this fish and reel him in!

Lacing on this beer is ridiculous! I can honestly, finally, say that this beer lives up to the hype. It's a very, very tasty and solid single IPA. I would probably put it up there as a daily drinking IPA with Jai Alai and Flower Power, if not quite as good as those two (for my palate).

There will be plenty more drinking today, I have no doubt. Cheers, friends!

A little early for me right now, but a Boulevard Saison-Brett to be sure. Looks like my beer fridge lost its mind & went into run away cooling so all my bottles on the top rack were frozen or near frozen:confused: A little beer is oozing out the corked and caged seal. Turned it down to minimum setting, so we'll how this goes...

Ok, so this tasting started last night, but finished at 2:30 this morning, so this still classifies as WBAYDN right?

And... it was 2:30 at this point, we still had 5 beers left, and I didn't even include pictures of our palate cleansers (Strongbow and Schlitz).
