Forget about "Girls Gone Wild." This time, the Crowd Went Wild.

Sixpoint has tapped dat keg of Imperial Otis, which is a darker, more robust, and more boss version of their Oatmeal Stout "Otis" brewed at Sixpoint in Brooklyn NYC since 2005. The Imperial Otis is a 9% Imperial Oatmeal Stout, with about 57 IBU of hop flavor and a ton of raw oats to add that "X factor" to the mouthfeel. But most important, the Mad Scientists aged that shiz in a JD Willet Bourbon Barrel. The result? Velvety smooth vanilla and silk mouthfeel, with a roasty toasty east coasty texture and mouthfeel. You heard it here first!

"widely" might be a bit of a stretch. But they will be given some of the sauce.

hitting manhattan at all? i'll bite. i like otis, and i like imperial oatmeal stouts in general.

others may think oats makes a big stout's mouthfeel too "slick," but myself i throw them in all the time. love the results.

Depends on how many taps you have on that kegerator. We may not have enough supply. :-)

Yup, mouthfeel/texture often takes a backseat to taste. Not with this beer though...oily slick!

Awesome, but what's with all the slang and cultural references? In a lively mood this morning, or is that going to be incorporated into the marketing of this beer?

Was just having a little bit of fun last night. Its just that every single press release is written in a rather boring and monochromatic style. I was at the brewery late last night with our creative team and we thought it would be fun to post a different type of press release. We took those photos in our hospitality room above the brewery and BAM! there you go.........Thought I would liven it up a bit! :-)

It's all about the liquid anyway. Try it out and let us know what you think.

glad you like the playful style - as I mentioned, it was done kind of as a joke - but also as a contrast to the usual plain and typical style of a press release...

going out for shipment next week...

    yes, that's the proper spelling!

Shane, I will purchase Bourbon Barrel Imperial Otis if I see it on tap at my local beer bars.

    Cheers!
