I know it is early in the year, but..... @youbrewidrink Let me preface this quick story by saying I've had the opportunity to trade with Joe only one time, about two months ago.... So I was planning a quick work trip out to Vermont and thought it would be fun to meet a fellow BA while I was out there. He's been around the forums and I thought he would be a fun guy to grab a beer with - and he agreed to meet me when I arrived. As I planned to bring some Vermont beer home, I shipped out two 12 bottle styro shippers and some Abrasive for Joe as a thank you from our last trade (he was super generous.) The night before departure to VT, of course, I get the flu and have to cancel the trip. Bummer. I asked Joe if he wouldn't mind grabbing the boxes and the beer from the hotel - figured someone may as well use the boxes and the beer was his. Not only did he go out of his way to get the boxes, but FILLED THEM WITH VERMONT BEER. A lot of Vermont Beer. I just got the boxes today and am in awe! This is a stand-up guy. Besides a "thank you" box, I'm not sure how I'll be able to repay his kindness, but it is situations like this that make this community what it is. While enjoying a fresh beer tonight, I'm going to take a page from Joe's playbook and Beer it Forward. Cheers!
Agreed; great trader. I started a thread asking about Backacre and he contacted me offering to trade, hooked me up with a bunch of fresh Lawsons in addition and included some Heady and Spencer as delicious extras.
Agree 100%! Great guy who seems to embody what BAers should be. He recently saw a post of mine about frustrations landing Petit and Focal and hooked me up with a can of each. Not only will I find some way to repay gesture but also plan a Beer It Forward.
I have to agree with everyone else. Joe saw a post of mine in a tread about beers that have been difficult to trade for, contacted me and we setup the trade. Thanks for hooking me up with the double sunshine @youbrewidrink
never traded with him, but he has been insanely helpful in giving me great advice about my upcoming trip to VT. seems like a stellar guy
Joe is a great guy, glad to have him in the local area. On that note, I need to give him a call and buy him a beer!
Haven't traded with the guy but gave me plenty of advice on a trip out that way when I bm'd him some questions.
Joe, I'm having a heck of a time landing a Damon here and I'm very upset to the point that my dog and kitten are sad for me Hahaha... What a great story! Thanks for sharing it.
