This used to be the case but as of last fall the cellar was sold in one fell swoop to some guy who "came in and asked the right questions." Never got around to finding the entirety of it but I know Black Note and KBS were amongst.

Lake Street Market does have a rather small selection but tends to get in the "seasonal" releases and have them for a while. It's quite easy to find readily available BWB for a month or two and @JamesShoemaker is correct in that they seem to have Backstage Series laying around for a few months (Nothing pre-Bolt Cutter and last time I was in I only saw one bottle of doom (this was in November)). Outside of Founders and Bells, don't expect anything extraordinary. Chris is a huge IPA/DIPA guy and rarely stocks much of other styles. On top of this fact, he believe bourbon and beer mixed is a sin so don't expect much on the BBA front.

Great shop with tremendous sandwiches and wine selection though!

Hopefully you'll be stopping there soon and buying beer to send to @Woody1180 that you owe him for the Golf BIF you quit on, right?

This might be too late but I lived in Petoskey for 12 years so I'll try and knock out a few favorites:

    Breweries:
Petoskey and Beards which are both <2 years old. Petoskey is a "nicer" brewery in that they have a wide open taproom with brand new equipment. Usually about 7-10 taps on with a nitro stout available. Pub food is offered. Beards is a more "divier" brewery with a more local crowd. Downtown it's easy to access. No food last time I was there and I thought they needed a little work on their beers. This was right after they opened though and I've heard things have gotten better.

    Restaurants:
On the higher end, Chandlers is a few doors down from Beards. Great menu for lunch or dinner. Specializes more in wine but they have craft/belgian selections as well. Mitchell St. Pub is more lower end but they do have a tremendous brown ale from Short's that is brewed specifically for the pub. Would throw in City Park Grill (birthplace of Short's ControversiALE which used to be called Hanging Frank and available at City Park) although I've never been a huge fan of the menu. Ernest Hemingway did eat at the bar so what the fuck, right?

    Bottleshops:
Next to nonexistent. Toski-Sands which is just about a half a mile from Petoskey Brewing has the most robust selection. There is also Bill and Carol's which has a hit-or-miss selection.

    Other fun things:
    Wineries.

Please pardon the threadjack here, just trying to reach out to @Rons35 as he has blocked everybody in our golf BIF from sending him a message but seems to still follow this forum. If any of you Great Lakes BA 's know him, can you please ask him if he plans on fulfilling his obligation for the beers he owes from our BIF?
