I'm going to be in Wisconsin (Milwaukee and greater Chicago area but I can go as far as Madison or New Glarus if need be) for work next week and plan on getting some New Glarus stuff of course. Maybe this is a long shot but is there anywhere Apple Ale is still on shelf? Or other good Unplugged stuff from past months? Looking for specific bottle shop recommendations I guess, will have fairly limited time so I can't go bouncing from shop to shop for hours searching. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
What other Apple Ale would I be talking about? But seriously thanks everyone, someone said they thought it was mostly all gone so I was worried I'd be wasting my time looking around for it so glad to hear that's not the case. Mod or admin can feel free to delete this thread to reduce clutter as far as I'm concerned.
For future reference, this is usually pretty accurate: http://www.newglarusbrewing.com/index.cfm/beers/beerfinder
Woodman's in Kenosha just north of the IL/WI border has plenty of it, just saw it today. They have palates of New Glarus 6 packs all priced at 6.99 - the coffee stout seasonal is out now and is very good considering NG does not really do many stouts.. One other things they now have is a very large selection of bottles ( mix-a-6) or single bottles. All of the NG 6- varieties are part of the selections so you can try a bunch of different ones without having to commit to a full 6 pack. Woodman's has a HUGE selection of craft brews so be prepared...
Well I'll be going from Chicago to Milwaukee so this sounds like my destination on the way. $6.99 six packs sounds cazy cheap. How much are the Unplugged 4-packs?
Lori from Weasel Boy has family there and brought a 4 pack of it back this week for my wife, since my wife loves it so much. I'd say it's still available
Good reminded to people that don't normally go to Woodman's. Even I forget to warn people when I recommend Woodmans. Also, the Woodman's in Oak Creek(20 mins south of Milwaukee) has bunches of it as well.
