1 - Most Lager styles (just don't like the taste usually)
2 - Blond Ale (Too bland, lacks character)
3 - Porter (with Cascadian Dark Ales, Browns and Stouts, who needs em?)

    Eliminate IPAs? That's blasphemous!

I only said IPA's because I personally think there is TOO MUCH of a focus on the style, when brewers could be expanding and testing their limits with other styles. I mean does any brewery really need to brew more than 2 IPA's? If you look at some of the more popular breweries they have a half dozen or more IPA's in their lineup. To me, that is uneccesary and is stunting growth in a niche that I would love to see blossom to no end.

Obviously everyone has a right to their opinion, but you said eliminate it, not cut back on it.

You may vote to get rid of Scotch Ales, but don't get rid of my WEE HEAVY!

To vote for Saison's or Kolsch would be sacrilegious. I feel sad for people who don't like these two styles. Barleywine's?!?!... are you crazy? Someone hasn't had King Henry or Bligh's. Maybe I'd let go of American Barleywines, just not English Barleywines.

    I agree with these:
    California Common
    Blonde
    Chili Beers
    AAL
IIPA, it's basically saying it's a triple-hopped hoppy extra pale ale.

No more so than your comment on lagers.

    1) Golden Ales: um, just brew a lager instead if you want a lighter beer as a brewery. Everyone will thank you.

    2) IPAs/IIPAs: if you already have one IPA as a brewery and you want to brew another using the same kind of hops? WTF is the point? At this point in my beer drinking career there is nothing more boring than an IPA. America is set with IPAs for all of the future. There is no reason that any brewery should be releasing a new IPA at this point. if you are a new brewery your lineup should not include an IPA. perhaps the most played out style, even moreso than light lager.

    3) Imperial Stouts: I want to drink beer not syrup. I want to drink beer not something that tastes like bourbon. I want a beer I can find all year round instead of only from special release at a price that is waaaay over valued.

None. One mans porter is another mans dipa. I personally like the variety of beers, even with a brewer's multiple IPA releases. Such a wide variety keeps the palate from going stale when you stick with a particular style(s).

I generally find these styles to be one dimensional. I do without them just fine.

Why would you want less variety in beer selection? I know this isn't a serious thread, but what's the point of even doing it as a thought exercise?

Fruit/Vegetable beers - there were already plenty of ways to get your RDA of fruits and vegetables in cocktails so
why do they need to be in beer?
Herbed/Spiced beers - there are alternative ways to get herb that do not involve beer.
Malt Liquor - do I need a reason?

If you could eliminate 3 styles of BA threads, what would they be...

    Anything that tastes like Christmas.

(Just can't do the super spiced beers. Pumpkin beers can also fall into this category.)

You want to eliminate 3 beer styles that you don't like yourself, but know that tons of other BA's love? Man that's harsh.

I can't pick anything. As much as I may dislike a certain style, someone else enjoys it, and I'm not about to take away what makes them happy.
