I am having trouble finding a location in cleveland area that sells 3F and cantillon. I would really like to try some. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jason
I saw your post in a fbook group too. It's always hard to find Cantillon. You will always have trouble. There's no way around that. Order it online from belgiuminabox or etregourmet if you really want it. As for 3F, Lizardville seems to always have their gueuze at least. Anything other than 3F Gueuze or 3F Intense Red, seems evaporates from the area within a few hours after arriving. It doesn't go on any shelves either because you normally have to ask for it.
Bottles are hard to find but go to lizardville. I just had zombie dust, dradnaught, and boheamouth or however you spell it on draft. It was the first time I had zombie dust. Not blown away honestly but it was really good. Nice and smooth
I do believe he was referring to Drie Fonteinen, or 3F. Three Floyds is abbreviated FFF on here, usually.
I can get my hands on most 3F's (FFF). Zombie Dust is one of the harder ones to find, but i usually travel through Munster for business monthly, and have some sources nearby. I currently have some Jinx Proof, Alpha King, Pride and Joy, and Arctic Panzer in my collection. Would be willing to make a trade.
Wholeheartedly agree, though in the interest of education here's how I initially learned to remember which was which: Drie Fonteinen means 3 Fountains (3F) For Three Floyds think Floyd Floyd Floyd (FFF) Or, the Fonteinen logo has a 3 in it... And they always use the number instead of spelling it...
I don't know about Cleveland, but in Columbus I usually have good luck finding 3F Oude Gueze at Whole Foods. The Golden Blend tends to sit on shelves longer due to the price point. Those are the only two I see with any regularity.
