I'm on the email list and got a broken link for tix. I put off getting tix for a few hours assuming that since it was a "somewhat low key event" I would be able to get tix to any of the 3 sessions with no problem. Well, that wasn't the case. Tried to get 2 tix for a friend and I just a short while ago and already sold out for all 3 sessions. This event looks amazing and I'm glad it flew under the radar for the most part. If anyone has 2 tickets for any of the 3 sessions that they can't use please BM me. I'll gladly reimburse you for the donation and a bottle or 2 for your help. @quinnsi runs the best shop in Chicago and would love to be a part of this celebration. Thanks to my fellow Chicago BA's in advance for any help.

    -Jake T

    What does each session entail?

Free pours from a number of breweries with brewers or brewery representatives present to discuss the beers.

Beer will also be for sale to attendees (I don't know if this means special beers will be fore sale or just saying the store will be open to those who attend).

As for differences between the sessions, nothing has been announced.

For some strange reason, I have a very good feeling about this event...going to the first session

I have been to the Beer Temple nearly every week since it opened so I am pretty disappointed I won't get to go to this. Guess I should be more careful with my handwriting in the future! :grinning: Oops. Very happy to hear that donations went to Doctors Without Borders, it is a great charity.

Hey Guys, the online tickets via the email I sent was supposed to be a low-key pre-sale. Little did I know that I'd sell all the tickets I made available in little over an hour. There will be more tickets, but I realized I can't just open them up to Event Brite again, as it's basically the first people who happen to check their email.

There will be an announcement about some more tickets. There's no real difference between sessions, I'm just trying to share the beer with as many people as I can while avoiding the crush from the Grand Opening last year.

The event is *Free* in that I'm buying all the beer and giving it away to attendees. I required people buying online make a $15 donation to charity. This is mainly to ensure that people who get the tickets are invested enough to show up, rather than blowing it off and leaving an open spot for someone who actually would have gone. Not sure if that makes sense. Again, my thought was that the tickets would have lasted a while and I'd be selling them in-store to customers as they came in. That wasn't the case.

From Perennial's 'March' info, they'll be there with Vanilla Sump.

I wanna say something. I'm gonna put this out there: if you like it, you can take it. If you don't, send it right back...

I want to be on you.

Beer temple + event in the same sentence and you thought it would not sell out in seconds online? Modesty to say the least. Need less to say I'll be watching your facebook and twitter like a 13 year old girl watches Justin Bieber's.

Yeah, expect lots of stuff of that caliber. More info will trickle out I'm sure. My aim is for this to be one of the best events in Chicago for 2014. How's that for modesty, @Jimbobebop

It's a big THANK YOU. You guys keep coming to the store, and I can keep doing fun things. We're just getting started! Barely a year old

Oh, one request for anyone reselling tickets: Please keep in mind all the money I'm taking in goes to charity. This whole thing is out of pocket for me. Don't be lame.

How about anyone who shows up with a ticket without their name on it (or in the eventbrite registry,) which would theoretically be a resold ticket, charging them an additional Ticket Transfer Donation. Not that that would be an enough of an adequate deterrent.

People will do what they want. I'm not interested in policing the tickets. Just remember this event is about celebrating good beer and having some fun, which at it's core is what makes beer great to begin with.

I can't wait for this. I don't get out much to stuff like this. Missed Zwanze day last year because my wife got a great paying gig at the last second, so excluding regular but epic visits to the Half Acre taproom, this is my big event of the year. You have a great thing going, Qs. Even my wife send people to you now, and she doesn't even drink beer!
