First DIPA by Maine Beer Co. I guess it releases this week? Anyone know more?

I know that I want it. And I know that it will probably be like 9-10 bucks per bottle. It's hopped with citra, falconer's flight, mosaic & simcoe per their website. It releases tomorrow March 11th.

    Oh, and ISO.

Not sure if this will be going into distro.

I thought this was going to be a beer dinner. Only $140 bucks a head.

Per their FB, it will be Brewery only.

I caught that, I just forgot to elaborate. I'm not sure if this is something that will be seeing distro in the future.

Am I wrong that a brewery only release at MBC will not create much of a splash? Why not just release into the broader distribution network given they are trying to expand? I like MBC but given their prices and location, there is no way I would make the trip up there to get some.

I thought I saw this label leaked months ago. That being said, MBC has released a bunch of new beers recently, Red Wheelbarrow, A Tiny Beautiful Something (which I still haven't seen), Another One and Weez. I would think that Dinner will eventually hit their distro. The Brewery prices aren't any different than the stores in MA at least. I love their beer, just very expensive.

Because some brewers want their IPAs, especially special release DIPAs, drank fresh and while that can't be guaranteed from the brewery, it's even less so when the beer goes to distro.

Will you grab me two? I won't be able to pay you back until I finish the applications for my second mortgage, though...

Weez and Another One aren't 'new' beers as they've been around quite a while now. Red Wheelbarrow has been around for a little while now, but agree it's hard to find.

Wish this was happening in June when I'm going up to Portland, ME and will be going to there to get some brewery fresh stuff. If anyone wants to trade something for 2 of these, let me know.

I thought Falconer's Flight was discontinued after the 2012 crop?

Anyone go yet today? Was going to head up but there's no phone number for the tasting room, and I didn't want to drive if it already sold out.

Picked up my 4 bottles at 8 bucks. Completely worth had. Had a taste at the brewery and I couldn't be more impressed. Hoppy, bitter, juicy. Looking forward to drinking a full bottle later. Hoping this isn't really a one time thing like they keep saying. Was fairly busy at opening.

One time thing, my ass. If MBC can make money off of it (and let's be clear, at this price, they're making money), they'll do it.

    Do what's right.

They will distribute this, and it will be hard to find. I can readily go find Peeper, Zoe, MOT all over the place today, but when Another One,or Mo show up, they get turned over. Lunch still comes and goes quickly.
