Coming soon to a quality brewer near you, a shitstorm of tools and their mules! Its hard not to blame the internet and social media for some of these problems. Somehow need to convince some of these peoples that wine and tequila are so much more expensive and way cooler than beer and maybe the craziness will subside some.

heReally it was more a statement about being priced out of the ability to "just drink it" at $50+ a 6pk. It does'nt cost anywhere near $10/btl to produce. Just ask my homebrew or any other small craft brewer, I dont see Shorts or Oddsides doing this?

Rather I see my $10 bottle of Kuhnhenn, which I can get locally, as something that will allow me to enjoy or try something I would otherwise have to travel for. Or obtain a 6pk of reasonably priced beer from a friend who might not be local.

But burn him, burn the witch. If recognizes the value of a commodity and uses it to further his passion for beer he must be a witch. Or if he floats...

 

So, based on your own logic, the $50/6 prices you out of the ability to drink it then what are you attempting to trade it for? A 24 of Abita or something else economical not available in Michigan?

If you don't think its worth it, go buy something else. There are a TONNE of great AFFORDABLE beers in Michigan.

I dont do lines anymore, but I dont have a problem people getting there early if they really want it. I do have a problem with people who tell other what they should do because those people don't want to have to wait in line to get a certain beer. Some want it more than others, and if they want to get there early, more power to them.

 

im doing just fine with trading some of my meads from last saturday. he will surely get some really nice extras though.

 

For once I wish Kuhnhenn would have an event where they tap a bunch of cool shit accompanied by absolutely no special bottles of beer or mead for sale, just to see how it goes.

 

I did my first line Kuhnhenn winter solstice; was my last. But you're right, more power to them. ISO one bottle of the Irish whiskey stout IP breakfast of champions.
