Really - eight YEARS??? WTF??? Where the hell have I been... When sonny boy and I saw them live, we were amazed they could pull of the intricate rhythms on stage - that was awesome enough. We're both musicians and our reaction was "what...how...holy crap...ya kiddin' me.." and it just did not stop for a second. But you could also feel the music physically. I've been to loud shows - hell, the opener was loud but they sucked and are stricken from my mental record. Tool was not simply amped up and loud, it was total power and the rhythmic intensity was off the charts. My words don't do it justice.

It's been raining since I got home over an hour ago and that put me in the mood for a Porter. I went into my basement to search for a Porter of the imperial variety and I stumbled upon this 6% abv stout from Winter 2012. I was a little worried about how it would taste but it actually tastes just fine to me. I look forward to the day I can try it fresh.

very sorry for you and bob. My best friend is bob too. He's of the canine persuasion. I know your pain in making that decision, and worse taking that ride and going thru the process

    Go bob

Ok now I can "officially" join this thread this evening. Still working on the DVR.

Today we buried my grandfather, and yes it was sad, I cried a bit (I'm kind of a big baby), but honestly, he was almost 99 years old. He had 4 great kids. Who in turn had 9 amazing grandkids for him (and me, I'm not sure if I'm amazing). And they've already had 6 great-grandkids. Without my grandfather (and grandmother, rest her soul as well), none of us exist. Pretty cool Italian family he sired. It was great to see some of the family we don't get to see too much anymore, and it was a nice celebration of his life. And get this, the eulogy? He wrote it!! My aunt's husband read it aloud during the funeral, and apparently he wrote it himself shortly after his wife - my grandmother - passed away in 2008. Selfless as always, he didn't speak about himself, but how LUCKY he was to have such a great family. I can feel the waterworks starting again as I type this. Ah well, one last time, RIP Thomas Cannella. You were a great man.

Cheers folks, hug your loved ones, and if you have an elderly member of your family, take an extra half-hour to go visit with them soon. I missed my chance to do so before he passed.

Walking around Nightshift Brewing with a glass of Bee Tea and checking out their barrels. Went to Jack's Abby before coming here for BBA Peanut Butter & Jelly Framinghammer...which was amazing.
