There is tons of it in NJ. Honestly I'm not sure anything year round compares. Founders Imperial Stout stacks up but isn't year round.

Speedway is the closest I've had.

I agree... Founders Imp Stout should get you through the next few months... and it's pretty close to Ten Fidy imo

Man, I don't think they are alike at all. I love Old Rasputin, but it's like Ten Fidy diluted to about 80% with water.

I would say Founders IS, Squatters Outer Darkness... maybe Yeti.

Not necessarily year-round but Stone's RIS is close, as is Bell's Expedition. I haven't had Founders IS, but it should be close. Also, grab some Yetis and Blackout should be close (I just got some but haven't opened them yet, but BA Blackout was great).

The closest ive come is founders Imperial Stout and Bells expedition stout. These are very close. Neither are year round but are accessible for several months.

Of all the beers I've tried that are similar to ten fidy (expedition, founders IS, plead the 5th), none of them are year round but the one available on shelves the longest is, ironically, ten fidy.

I am looking for the same... Ten-Fidy has become one of my favorites this season and I am contemplating just buying a whole bunch (it's still everywhere here in Denver). Hoping Stone IRS (coming soon) can hold me over for a bit, I have yet to try anything that has what I love about Ten-Fidy.

Does anyone know how well Ten-Fidy ages?

Old Rasputin and Founders IS. Both are quite available in Philly (not sure where you are): Old Rasputin mostly anytime and Founders IS is very much around right now in this area.

Samuel Smith's russian imperial stout is the only year round I can think of.

Where in NJ are you because there is still plenty around me.

I've only had it long enough to consume a four pack within a few weeks... Can't imagine any of these stouts wouldn't be great buying them now when they're around and letting them age until the next release. Founders IS is especially nice with at least 6 or more months on them IMO.

I've learned to stock up on Ten Fidy to last me through the year. Two cases does me fine. I have aged it up to 3 years and I find that it changes very little if at all. No need to salivate over it while it collects dust, so I don't.

Gets more Chocolate Milk Shake like with age. Don't go past 3 years though.

    Rasputin for sure, on comparisons.

I notice nothing suggested, besides the Old Rasputin, comes in a 4-pack. More confirmation that Ten Fidy is an incredible beer.

I honestly can't think of anything that's year round and in the same league for the style. Bravo, Ten Fidy. OP, thanks for reminding me to go buy some to celebrate how easy it is to get and under-appreciated to boot.

It's got coffee in it, but Santa Brewing Imperial Java Stout is a great year round of a similar caliber.

I dunno, everyone keeps mentioning Raspy and Expy. I don't think those taste the same as Ten FIDY at all. Those are 3 pretty different RISs if you ask me.

Maybe give Thirsty Dog Siberian Night a try.
