steel reserve comes to mind, but for craft beer I would have to say founders sweet repute.

I know this stuff (taste) is so subjective, and for every beer I like/love there's another who can't stand it, but I really can't fathom how anyone could drink that and enjoy it. It came in a 4 pack and I kept the other 3 around to pour for others (who enjoy good craft brew), in order to get additional reviews. As a goof, I even told the people "taste this, it's awesome!" Despite my swaying, no one liked it. The best I got from anyone was a funny face and a "hmmmm, that's interesting."

I am curious now, if this will prompt others to rise in defense. I welcome hearing how others might enjoy the Friendship Brew.

[IMG] Hands down, the absolute worst beer I have ever had is this one- Earthquake High Gravity Lager (12% abv). Pure and true filth.

Haha I've had that Beer 30, it is awful, even for a guy who enjoys Natty Light (me). The one time I tried Genesee Cream Ale the bartender mercifully exchanged it when he saw the look on my face. I can't recall ever having a craft beer that fell into the "vile" category like those two did. I even thought Ghost Face Killah was pretty decent.

Honestly, the worst craft beer I've had in a long time time was the Bruery's 5 Golden Rings. My first and only drainpour ever.

Florida Beer Company - Swamp Ape...horrendous. Tasted exactly like I would imagine a Swamp Ape tasting.

Boatswain Double IPA (Twin Screw Steamer) - Rhinelander Brewing Company - One of those 22oz. for 2 bucks you get at Trader Joe's ... Just hideous.

John Smith's Extra Smooth takes some beating. When a beer makes you pick Fosters instead you know it's bad.

Rogue Voodoo takes that cake, along with most other Rogue offerings.
But by far, the worst ever, Hell or High Watermelon Wheat from 21st Amendment - It seems the ratings are a bit better now, however my first experience was like drinking water that was drained from a squash that sat in the Summer heat for a month. Cherry Wheat is drinkable worst case scenario. But I've never gagged on a beer until Hell or High

My first homebrew wasn't bad, but my third batch was one of the worst I have ever had. My worst was a pineapple pale ale (batch 20 or so) disaster I tried. That stuff was truly rank.
