I'll pass. I wouldn't want to get stuck buying your beers because you're interpretation of "I'll buy ya a pour" = "you'll buy me a pitcher".

And there it is people, just shows who's the real "bad trader" here. Thanks for saving me the time of wasting it on you.

The facts are above in my OP. How folks want to interpret them is up to them. I interpret them as a guy who went fishing for Huna, made a deal for one, found himself a better deal, reneged on his first deal and thought he'd try to profiteer on his KBS. You, sir, are what is wrong with craft beer these days. Take care.

Edit: Sweet, just found the "ignore" function. Outstanding!

Whether or not he is actually a "bad trader" it should be noted that Founder26 is involved in some type of drama at every beer release. Seems like us locals are starting to figure it out, only hope that the out of staters can catch on and ignore him as well

So Matt was going to trade a Huna for 4 KBS? I guess if we are including travel cost, time loss, emotional trauma from the Huna Day Debacle, that was an awful generous offer.

At least from my perspective, the "ok" would constitute an agreement. Circumstances can change after an agreement is made, but if handled appropriately a change in agreement is not a huge deal. I was not personally involved in this one so I will leave it at that.

I will open up a conversation about differences in beliefs. I personally do not believe in tacking on additional costs to the price of a beer. Be it a long standing trading partner, a friend or a stranger, I just have never done it. I am not sure I would say its wrong, I just won't do it. I have never (knowingly) had anyone do that to me either. There may be times I come out on the short end, other times I come out ahead, in the end it all seems to even out.

Drama? Show us where I was involved with drama at a beer release, because every release I've been to I have had no problems with anyone, sounds like your just trying to make stuff up. And matt you can think what you want to but I'm telling ya I did not find another deal and had no intentions of making you this mad, I really think your blowing all this out of perportion. I have publicly stated that I would buy you a beer, now you wanna just ignore me, so it shows what kind of person you are.

So you are going to pretend like 4 Elf didn't happen? You need to do this community a favor and take a lap for a year or two

What happened at 4 Elf? From my reading of this thread, it doesn't look like too big of a deal. The dude changed his mind. Happens all the time and no one was out any beer/money. He probably should've just sent a message that said "Hey man I changed my mind, sorry about that," though.

No amount of spin makes it okay to sell beer to another BA member at a profit.

Haha you are both now on my no trade list.

For the record, starting a trade, agreeing to a trade, then trying the bait and switch with selling the trade beer at profit is a Dick Move.

You may not have thought you had a trade but generally when trade terms are agreed upon, and both sides okays it, a trade has been agreed upon in my book.

    Just my .02

Guys I never once said I'm trying to make a profit off selling beer, I was gonna sell him bottles for 5 a pop which is still far less then anywhere else, he never once said how much I was gonna sell them for did he?

True, but then again, you never told me nor did I ever ask. The only discussion involving price was this statement from you : "Now what price are we looking at, I'm not just letting these go for 20, I would rather keep it." After you said that, I immediately shut it down (as described in my OP above).

It's possible, I suppose, that you were planning to sell me 4 bottles at "5 a pop", but since that would've been retail ($20), that's somewhat unlikely given your statement that you were "not just letting these go for 20, I would rather keep it."

I was thinking they where more then that but forgot they are only 19 a 4pk out the door, so yah I would have profited a whole dollar, wooptie freaking doo, go ahead and pay stores 10 bucks a bottle and label me the bad guy...

I am sorry to hear that. I was reluctant to put this up at all, and I'm not sure what I've done that's landed me on your no-trade list. But, that's disappointing nonetheless. I have dozens and dozens of wonderful trade experiences, and it's disappointing to hear I won't get to have one with you over this.

Yeah, I'm certain that's what you meant by this: "not just letting these go for 20, I would rather keep it."

I am picky about who I trade with, and whiny folks like you are def. not my cup of tea. I am sure you are a great trader, and I added my two cents because that is my opinion after reading this thread. Prob. no one cares what I think, but there are some who do, and for those I share opinions.
