I want to see what the homebrew community is doing for labels on their brews. My first homebrew is an IPA called "My Way Out" because.. "F" this desk job I'm done being a cube monkey. If I knew how to post a pic of my label I would, or if someone can post how to add a pic from my desktop ill do it... Cheers!
You have to hang your picture file on a web server somewhere, then link to it. I made a few labels back in the day. It kind of loses its charm after a while. At least it did for me. Here's one of mine. It was on textured paper, and was supposed to resemble a cave drawing. Or not.
Definitely not. nice label though. I'd like to make labels but I have never gotten around to doing any. I'm so lazy that these days I don't even remove the labels of the bottles I'm recycling... I just cross them out with a sharpie.
The only one I ever made, for a local comp...though I edited out my name. As VikeMan said...it loses it's appeal really quick. I keg now anyway.
Heres a REALLY rough draft for the last beer I made I doubt I will ever even update it... the beers already almost gone. This isnt a beer label, but I could make it into one...kinda reminds me of something Three Floyds would do. Also not a finished product, but its way better: Cheers!
Check my avatar it's the label for my Belgian Dubbel I also have Farm Pond Pale Ale and Windmill Wheat
I went with tags instead of labels. On the inside I write various things like the name of the beer, brew date, abv, ibu's, stuff like that.
A good portion of my day job is spent doing design work. And I'm the guy on the main forums arguing for the importance of marketing and well-designed labels. And yet, I've never felt like doing my own.
Here's a sketch of one of mine that never made it to any bottle. Those are my homies. Only I brew but they like to drink.
