Well, after another 2 nights of plowing snow, it's time to enjoy a Plead the 5th!

And when this is done, I'm gonna jump to a Hopslam, then get some MUCH needed rest!!

After yet another day of having NO SNOW to shovel, guess I'll go for a run after finishing my Yard's Rye.

After spending some time with the gf in FL this weekend, then leaving earlier yesterday AM to make it into work on time for a night shift, I am currently pushing almost 30 straight hours awake. So I figured now would be a good time to enjoy a couple treats I brought back from FL.

Results of my side by side show Fat Heads Head Hunter to be my beer of choice between the two. Heres my take on the two when compared side by side:

    COMPARISON RANKINGS:
A: both appear very similar, golden copper in color with off white colored head. Jai Alai with a slightly larger head and a bit better retention. HH with a greater clarity, and some hop sedimentation suspended in the glass. Both leave a good amount of cobweb lacing, with JA having a bit more. Overall advantage on "A" goes to HH by a nose secondary to the great clarity.
    WINNER: Head Hunter

S: In the Jai Alai, bubblegum and sweet malts are the prominent aromas. HH has more piney, resinous, and floral notes. Overall, just a more well balanced and complex offering.
    WINNER: Head Hunter

T: Like the nose, Jai Alai is definitely sweeter, but Head Hunters is such a well balanced IPA that hits nearly every component that should be present in the style
    WINNER: Head Hunter

    M/D: Essentially a push
    WINNER: TIE

O: Overall, from top to bottom its pretty clear to me that I prefer Head Hunters. Both great beers though, if you have them available go out and but them; then do a side by side yourself. It's well worth your time.
    WINNER: Head Hunter

Hah - I remember when flashbulbs were BULBS, not cubes. Now sucking down Founders Imperial Stout - another stout doesn't make it to the cellar.

Not the best cream stout I've ever had, but I'd say it's upper echelon. Might make my way onto Cocoa Loco from Arcadia after this one -- still undecided.

    Cheers for beers!

    Great song choice. :sunglasses:

I have a Kokanee. I really like this beer and I am glad I have more than one. I want to thank the generous BA who sent this to me to fuel my never ending quest for a good AAL. He's modest but I am not. This beer won a medal in 1996 and I think it's one of the cleanest AAL's I have ever had. Thanks again and Cheers!

$2.69 for this? Eh. Should read "Stout brewed with molasses and lactose. Oh! And chocolate... I think?"

Not bad but I wouldn't buy it again at that price. Maybe the Too Cream Stout ruined me!
