And boom goes the dynamite.....just polished off two of these bad boys, dangerously smooth and tasty, probably an instant top 10 shorts brew in my book

No matter how great a tap take over may be, it will never beat a legit party at the brewery. Nothing beats a party at Shorts. It may be an opinion but it is an opinion that is hard to argue against.

Couldn't wait to crack one, had to try it(at 8am, night shift).....Holy F. Smell is fruited right up. Taste too. It's got that shorts bitterness that coats the tongue but man is it amazing. This may give hopstache a run for it's money. We will see in a couple weeks.

if you can try it on draft, do it. it is so much better on tap, IMO. we got a barrel this morning and i tapped it asap, basically so i can drink it during the games today. Bottles are amazing, but i prefer draft. i wanna swim in this beer it's so good.

This is a pretty solid DIPA. Kinda wish the flavor was more similar to the aroma and not so piney though. It says this is 71 IBUs but I swear it's closer to 100. And am I the only one who got a faint diacetyl flavor?

I didn't get any diacetyl flavor, but I agree with you on the overload of a piney flavor, although I'm unsure if that's what it is. I just get a flavor that I couldn't describe, and I felt that it must be from a hop that I've never experienced before. I've seen the word 'dank' used a lot recently to describe a hop characteristic, but I don't know what 'dank' tastes like to be able to use that descriptor. (Although if the sound of a word by itself can give a true feeling of what its defined meaning is, then this is the word.)

Really REALLY liked this last night watching Michigan win. I think in about a week that overly bitterness will die off slightly (as it usually does in most Short's brews) and this one will totally shine.

Loving this! Just as good as I remember it being from when I had it at the pub in December of 2012.

I do get some piney-ness but I get much more of a lime note and bitter orange rind.

Picked up 4 bottles of this and 2 bottles of Pt5 at Wine Palace in Livonia last night. Really liked this beer...a lot & cannot wait to see Hopstache hit the shelves in coming weeks. As if Huma wasn't proof enough, Shorts is killing it with pale ales and IPA's the last few years.

Disagreed. Draft isn't even close to bottle. Bottle is way better tasting, draft has a lot more bitterness to it.

This is exactly why I asked this question because I know his prices can be pretty high on certain things but it was actually around $12-$13 after tax. I try and stay away from the stuff he gouges on but not everything is overpriced. My mom is within walking distance to his store so it's pretty convenient for her to mule for her alcoholic son.

I prefer it out of the bottle as well. I get more tropical notes from the bottle vs on tap. This is a pretty spectacular beer. Glad I got 3 sixers of this!
