I thought the BA Spite with Serrano Chilies was excellent...

Tried so hard to make it in time for this after work, got there JUST after 11 and yeah, it was gone... Have Friday off, so hope it goes better then! Went to Founders after that to find Panther Cub gone as well. BUT! They have 2 amazing beers on Class 1 tap with MF Donkey Stout and Das Radikal IPA. Das Radikal was delicious! So still made for an enjoyable night.

Last year's was great.... after about 8 months. Too hot. Is this year's just less boozy fresh, or better in other ways too?

I'm really hoping that this years is hot. I really miss that bourbon bomb that it seems that all my favorites used to be.

It's not. It's well integrated and ready to drink. Sitting on this one won't do anything for it, IMO.

Oh well, I love KBS and I'm sure I will love this year's batch as always. I also have never thought that aging this beer has done anything for it. Is a waste to hold on to as far as I'm concerned. But to each his own.

You try the bbl imp stout from Arcadia? That's a bourbon bomb if your looking for one.

    This!
Call around to local shops, we have one in Kzoo that already filled up a sign up sheet & another that will be starting a sign up sheet next week. It may only be a bottle or 2 limit but at least you get a bottle

I'm sorry sir but this sentiment isn't allowed on BA so your account will be deactivated later today

I did try that and it was delicious! They are a bit pricey unfortunately, but I will probably get a bottle again when I see it. Thanks for reminding me of that one!

Perhaps reusing the barrels over and over will see a reduced barrel influence. Just a thought.

Nowhere does it suggest that it only uses the barrel once. Don't forget this article is written by a reporter.
My guess is that some are used more than once (all blended together), and new barrels are bought to replace leakers and overused barrels as well as expansion.
