does anyone remember the twitter war the guy from TBB had with someone and eventually the TBB guy said he would pray for the other guy? The "pray for" then became a running joke on twitter..

For the life of me I cant remember who it was that was in a twitter war with TBB..

I feel bad for them, and i do like 2 or 3 of their beers, but i also dont go out of the way to buy them so that must mean something.

For me, if i could get some of what i like in a 4 or 6 pack id probably by more. Not a huge bomber fan, unless its something special or different.

and really, with a business, 5k backup is pretty much nothing for backup cash.

So it looks like that post was deleted ? This was a new post since I saw the original yesterday.

"Quick Update on the $1,000 fine: Every month you have to upload a Retail Inventory Tracking report to the comptroller (along with a lot of other reports to various agencies) Any-who Tammy received a letter in the mail Saturday that said they did not receive the January report. She said I sent it in and I always PDF the conformation. OOPS! It was not there, she was sure she sent it, but missed it. So, she created the report and sent it in the same day she received the notice (Saturday) First thing Monday, she calls the comptroller and they say you have been fined $1,000, It has been added to your account and you owe it. Tammy asks if there are any options to wave, or reduce the fine, because it was an honest mistake. The lady said Nope, but you can talk to them about making payments. She was on the way to the lab for some tests when she made the call. After she hung up she called me crying hysterically, obviously I could not under stand her and I am asking are you OK, did you get in a wreck, are you hurt, I can't understand you, the the call is lost. I panic and feel helpless, but she calls back and is eventually able to talk and explain what happened. The only thing that upsets me, is when something hurts or upsets the Queen. So I get off the phone and call Rep. James White to see if they can help us out. Also a friend John calls our Senator, then Tammy call our Senator. Over the day we received two calls from the comptroller and they are working with us to see if we can have the fines waved. I pray they can."

If you can't beat the system, find someone who can beat the system to do it for you.

So, she doesn't send the report, they are fined because the report was filed and now, they want to get outta paying the fine. Not cool and lack of character.

Please....we all do that. We forget to pay something and call people up asking to take away a fee. We do it to the banks, credit cards, phone companies, electric companies, etc. It is no different. Saying a lack of character is a bit of a stretch.

When was the last time you contacted your Senator or a friend to avoid late fee's on your utility bills? You even stated - "If you can't beat the system, find someone who can beat the system to do it for you. " Try to work it out yourself or have your attorney do it. Hopefully, they can get the issue resolved and move on and get a better business plan.

If you cannot fix it yourself, you contact someone higher than the person you are talking to solve it. Considering it is government, you use your connections.

I do not see how this is any different than trying to get out of a late fee for anything. You try until you get someone that can do something.

Regardless if it is a senator or a manager at your bank, how is it different?

To me, I hold a business to a higher level of expectations than an individual. You're dealing with the state here as well. The wife made an error and now they should just pay up, just like we all pay our late fees rather it be a movie, elec or a utility etc. Either way, crying about it on Facebook was in poor taste and if they over extended themselves due to recent purchases then, they are going to have to bite the bullet and pay up. It's only $1000 fine.

Putting it on Facebook is the part that rubs me wrong. Seems like a not-so-subtle way to try to elicit sympathy, or maybe some donations.

They should just do like DEBC and start a Kickstarter...... :open_mouth:

Yeah, how dare people discuss beer related issues and have opinions? What do they think this is, a beer discussion forum!?

    Oh, wait....

It could be the continual ass wiping this specific brewery gets. Zero compassion for these guys here.

I agree this time they are a bit ridiculous in putting the issue, the way they did, out there. I'm of the opinion if people went to their brewery they'd have a new respect for the hard work one man does almost by himself. They've been unjustly judged because of halfassed label art and rarely given a chance on the quality of their beer. Working Stiff might be the best ESB made in the state.

This isn't solely at you Mello, I know you know.
