Wookey Jack. The best one hands down in my opinion.

It's not even bottled, but you should hope to see Black Rajah (The Brew Kettle's White Rajah's darker cousin) in bottles in your lifetime. It is easily the best black IPA I've ever tasted.

Otherwise, Hoppy Feet from Clown Shoes should be easy to find and is a strong choice.

I was lucky enough to end up at the Brew Kettle when in Ohio on business. I loved both the Black and White Rajah's (as well as the other beers I tried). Great hamburgers too.

The black IPA (Blindfold) in the Sierra Nevada 4 way IPA 12 pack is really good. It's dark and roasty with a big hop presence too.

I'm not sure if it's going to be year round, and it's not available outside the 12er, so I'm not sure how helpful this is.

+1 for Wookey Jack and Stone SSR. I think I like SSR a little better, but I've had it much more recently. If you get to the DC area, there's a great local (draft only) one by Atlas Brew Works called NSFW.

Not the best but a good beer. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25937/71256/ - worth it IMO, not sure if out by you though.
Immutable Dusk is good too by FFF but thats not readily available as is the previously mentioned Blakkr- love that one but its an Imperial Black IPA and also not readily available. Blakkr probably my favorite

Damn, I was coming here to say this too!
Ithaca Black Vine was pretty tasty, however I believe that was a once and done release.

My top 3, the thread should really be called, what's your next favorite Black IPA after WJ?

    1. Wookey Jack (obviously)
    2. Anger from Greenbush
    3. Revolution Jukebox Hero (just limited release, but damn tasty!)
