Bottom line for me is that I still enjoy the MI beer scene to a degree and think we have it pretty great compared to the nonsense that is FL, and the droughts in other areas. I can see the future. Enjoy your beer while you still can.
They are coming. And their jeans are getting tighter.

 

Shrug... F2Brewers could send you a message but I couldnt, so I just figured that was what happened.. Anyway, it was a smooth event.

 

Hitting up Kuhnhenn's on Friday and crashing at a hotel. Really looking forward to finally trying some of these beers! Any helpful heads up or must try beers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

 

DRIPA

 

Take a pic of the draft board and post it here, I'm sure you'll get a lot of suggestions.

Can't miss would be DRIPA, Michigan Mud if on, and Imperial Crème Brulee Java if on.

Also, ask if there's any bottles for sale, they've been known to just stumble upon a case of something in a back room.

 

Dripa should be on..other than that, who knows...they have been really concentrating on opening the new place, you get the pretty basic stuff on...with that said, its not like its bad..its good..but probably nothing "special"

 

I think creme brûlée is fresh, especially they are doing growler fills. Mich Mud and Dripa were both on early this week but marked as no growler fills, so they are both probably in limited supply.

 

I didn't get to try Mud on tap but I was a little underwhelmed by the Creme Brulee. Certainly not bad, but I thought it was a little too thin, iced coffee if you will.

Another suggestion would be the "Loonie Kuhnie" described as a pale ale, but really so much more. A wonderful exploration in fruity citrus hops. I get a growler at every visit...
