I am sure it's around here somwhere, someone eluded to the fact that The Lion's Pride had secured a new brewer. Please set me straight on the facts.

They have - got the word this weekend in Portland. A Portland local. Was asked to let them make the official announcement - so I will respect the request.

This would explain why he folded his plans to open his own brewery. Interesting stuff.

Other way around. He folded his own plans more than a year ago and has been working full-time with Tigpro - the folks making all that pretty stainless steel brewing equipment around here. He plans to remain with Tigpro, and after the startup phase at (the former) Lions Pride he'll be letting the other brewer(s) mentioned in the other thread run the place, and he'll be in more of a consulting role (as I understand it from the others involved).

    Thanks for the inside info.

Regardless of the situation, I am very happy that Brunswick has a brewery of its own.

Looking forward to the offerings from this new brewpub. Lacharite is a good brewer.

Can't wait for it to start flowing on tap. Michael is super excited about this venture.

I thought for a minute you were talking about that other lion beer, the crappy cheap one in the red can, forget the name.

We're all super excited about this, and the beers are turning out sublime.

Butch our 3.8% Mild should be going on tap anyway now. Super dry, and a bitter chocolate taste, we're extremely pleased with how well it came out. Not so much for the craft beer heads...more for the locals.....super easy drinking, after work-type beer.

Hester, our Hoppy Red (Mike won't let us call it an IPA :slight_frown: ) is dank as hell....and impossible to stop drinking (ipa). I wasn't so keen on us brewing this, as anything with the word "Red" in it scares me, but call me the fool....this beer....I love this beer (ipa). Should be on tap later this week or early next week. A Masterpiece (ipa).

And Lemon Haze...our Saison. Several BA's have sampled this. Rather then further shamelessly hype up another of our beers, I'll let them chime in if they choose to do so. This should be ready in about 2 weeks,

We brewed our ESB last week, and we brew our Porter in the next few days, then our Super Saison, and a Tripel, then some hybrids.

Once we get 4-6 beers on tap and our new food menu completed, we'll put the new signage up and be on our way. Cheers to everyone coming by and saying hello...this is so cool for us! <3

Hey! Some of us craft beer heads love a good mild, and that one sounds pretty good.
