KBS and/or Black Note In Florida

No rumors. According to Founders it hits all their other distribution areas, aka everyone not in Michigan, on April 1st. Idk if that means we will get it on April 1st or they are shipping it out April 1st but that is their official word.

It will probably be Four Loko in KBS bottles.

 

My connections at ABC and TW seem clueless as to how much if any KBS will be coming...

 

it's usually released here in GA on the day they plan. So April 1 for the bigger stores, and probably a little leaking here and there shortly after for the smaller guys with one or two trucks a week that service them.

 

Come on people! It was the same thing last year. It'll be up for sale on April 1st. Most stores already have it in, but they're not allowed to sell it until the first. Cood luck!

 

Well FL distributors defy logic.

 

In SoFla this will be a shit show ala Bourbon County. It's mind-boggling to me how inefficient most stores are at providing something even remotely close to accurate information.

 

The founders rep told my local shop today April first it'll start getting shipped out. Don't know what that means for distribution and stores beginning to sell it.

 

Beginning to sound like Hopslam all over again. The rest of the country will be drinking it for a month before it hits the shelves in Florida.

My thoughts exactly, though I'm good friends with a local shop owner, so my chase might be a shorter one. We'll see if I can coerce him to lose a 4pk for me.

I heard 4/4 is was releasing. I'd rather have Black Note over KBS, however, I am curious to know how this years tastes fresh

 

Last year we got KBS in NC on April 1. Our distributor drops it off on that day, then have at it. April 1st is the first official day for it to be sold into the distribution network, not necessarily the day its available.

 

went to the total wine in sarasota and asked about both. i might as well have had eight eyeballs and a giant penis growing out of my forehead given the response i got.

i.e. they didn't know what either of them were, and neither were in their system. this from the "manager".

 

Is black note out and/or being distributed down here yet? I have a friend that works at Brown distributing and she is saying next week for KBS. The Founders site itself says April 1st for markets outside of their local area.

 

Sadly, this is the norm at TW. I feel there are maybe 1-2 employes their that really understand and keep up with beer releases, and if you don't get them it's the eight eyes penis forehead look for you. More often then not they have no idea what you are asking them, they just type it in their computer and then I swear they just make up some arbitrary date.

The thing is they have to be making decent money off their craft beer sales given the amount of space they have dedicated to it, so why they don't always have a "beer" person working in the store is beyond me.

 

I'm curious to see if any Black Note will actually make it down to South FL for a change, or will they bogart it up North once again.
