After sitting in rush hour traffic for two hours to get to the bottle shop that had more uncle jacobs stout I finally made it home and popped the top on a little sumpin sumpin. So good, just as good as gumballhead, and I don't have to pay for shipping.

Whew. Long day. I was involved in a very complicated fracture repair at work today. Very cool but very tiring. Couldn't wait to come home and drink this.

    Cheers.

got one left...so far i have been 2 for 2 with mine...had one at a tasting that was a bit too far south. i think my first one was starting to show signs of infection, but it was still enjoyable.

I'd say I've had a pretty good night thus far. Started off with a Cigar City Jai Alai while I watched my wife mow the lawn.

Now I'm gonna finish the night with a Backwoods Bastard. God I love Founders.

Please, please, please can the next big beer trend (after IPA's, barrel aging, and sours) be Gruit/Bog Myrtle beers? Please? I'd take a 6-pack of this over most APA's any day. Someone go to the hillside and the bogs near the brewery and pick whatever grows and give it a try. I want to be a Gruit addict.

For tonight my first Edmund Fitzgerald. I may actually like this one better than Founders Porter, which honestly stuns me. Damn this is good.

just checked the Adirondack listings and alas it IS true. if you are local to the brewpub, i'd be VERY into swapping for a bottle of this. i was pretty into Fat Scotsman when I tried it. let me know

    Had these two tonight:

The Rogue was alright, they always seem to put out decent but not mind-blowing beers.

The Dogfish Head was intense. Definitely pushes the limits of a brown ale. I should've known better with something from Dogfish Head.

Just finished watching the Celtics' complete domination of Philly in their own building. Now, I'm hoping OKC puts on a repeat performance of their last game.
