I'd like to get some more KBS but how many is fair. I traded 2xbeats for it and I also traded 1xbeat for 4pk of KBS prior. I'm just loving KBS and don't want to be unreasonable

It's a fantastic beer, but you'll be trading for rarity and hype. Having had CBS on draft a week ago, it's not significantly better than KBS, in my opinion. In fact, KBS might be better depending on what characterisics you personally favor. Market value might be 8 KBS, but I personally would not give up that much KBS for it.

That's probably around right due to the rarity, though I would keep the KBS. The maple flavor fell off the CBS in the first week or two (my opinion), but it's definitely worth a try if you haven't had it (though I might say that about any beer).

The value of the beer is whatever you feel comfortable trading it for. Who cares what other people think of your trade. Not really that difficult.

I don't feel that way at. I was perfectly content with that trade.

I think 2xBeat for CBS is a great trade, I would have made that trade from either perspective. However, I think you really made out well trading 1xBeat for 4xKBS, I wouldn't have made that trade, but I would have considered 3xKBS for 1xBeat. I think you could probably ask for 6 KBS for the CBS and someone would bite.

Its might be a tough sell though, because it is really unbalanced on the oz for oz (25oz for 72oz) for beers that really taste quite similar.

Well then, don't assume that because you got CBS for 2x Beat, that there is some magical formula out there that means you get 8x KBS. You would then be taking the guy with the KBS to be honest.

And the award for the most useless post of the thread goes too....

You could say that about any thread that says "______ trade value," but people ask because they want a real answer because they are actually interested in making the trade, not to be told its "not really that difficult."

Why click on the thread and post if you already know what the thread is about and you aren't going to provide any real information?

    I'm convinced if you find the right person anything can happen. I recently traded 1 ea. CBS, KBS, Founders Imperial, for the following;

    1 Kuhnhenn Fourth Dementia (4D)
1 Kuhnhenn Bourbon Barrel Fourth Dementia (BB4D)
    1 CCB Marshal Zhukov 2011
1 CCB/ The Bruery Dos Costas Cedar Wood Aged Saison
Ballast Point Victory at Sea Coffee Vanilla Imperial Porter
    Russian River Sanctification

Some will think I took the guy oz for oz. Others will say i took him from a $4$ standpoint. I never thought I would trade one of my CBS bottles, everything has a price to the right person.

Ask for eight, see if someone offers 6 or 7, if they do you make the choice to accept or not. A trade happens because two people feel fine with shipping the beers. What everyone else thinks is not important. It seems most people arguing values have a vested interest in what their beers "value" is and how they will be able to trade it in the future......

I don't believe that. But that's why we're all entitled to our own opinion.

Thanks for all the input though gents.

That's just bottle variation. CBS is all over the place like KBS.

How close can I get to CBS if I take a KBS and pour some BLiS in?

Here's an idea. Post an FT/ISO thread. If your inbox gets blown up you're getting the short end of the stick. If you get no response you will have to add more on your end. Pretty simple.

CBS has an insane trade value. I would guess you could get 8 KBS for your 1 CBS, with almost no problem at all.

On a side note, I am the one that made the trade with Levon above. I think I gave up a lot, especially in the $ range, but I am happy with the trade we made, since CBS was my current number 1 want. I think a lot of people would also have it really high on there want list, and chances are some of them have a decent supply of KBS. I for one think it's a reasonable asking price.
