Bottle Shop tapped a Sucaba keg on Wednesday and I believe The Common Table is Tapping Sucaba tonight.

Remember when this thread used to be about KBS in Austin? Not about another beer in other cities.

I was able to get one KBS yesterday thanks to @East1stgrocery. I've got to admit though, I'm not entirely sure it's worth the hype. I had my one bottle last night. While it's tasty, I can't really justify chasing it down. There are a lot better stouts available on the shelf. I remember enjoying it a lot more last year, but I guess my pallet has changed. I'm surprised it's the #5 beer on the BA top 250. Obviously this is just my opinion.

In Dallas, I was at lonestar yesterday to pick up Boiler Room, they put up on FB they were releasing KBS at 6. I like that they give notice and those who want the beer can try to make arrangements to get there. That being said, I was there at 4:50 and 6 people were already in line. I can't imagine standing in line over an hour for one single 12 ounce bottle of KBS. To clarify, I was not there for KBS, just happened to see the line, they posted video later of the line that wrapped around the store.

It's a great beer not worth the hype and truck chasing required to get any in Texas.

It appears Whole Foods in Dallas is selling KBS ($5) and Curmudgeon($3.50) as singles.

I'm from Chicago but Twitter is the place it seems for people to know about KBS. Just search for "Kentucky Breakfast Stout" or "KBS"

That just ridiculous. I'll grab one if it's easy, if not oh well. It's not the end of the world. No beer is that good. With that said I'm getting a case of bible belt when I go through Tulsa. That's the way it should be, a LIMIT of 1 case.

I am sorry but if you think everyone should get a case of limited release beers you are out of your mind.

Perhaps, look at the haul thread. Some guys are getting 4 cases of KBS and 3 cases of Black Note. They're doing something right in other places. a limit of 1 12oz beer is so ridiculous it borders on insanity. Hell, at least a 4 pack isn't asking that much considering how much time you have to spend to score that. If they aren't sending enough they need to up production. Quit brewing so many of their crappy beers that sit on the shelves for 1 1/2 years at a time /rant

People who are getting 4 cases of KBS and 3 cases of Black Note are a-holes who are keeping others from being able to try the beer. Just my opinion.

I wasn't aware. I just thought their allocation was so much more in some states. I wouldn't buy a case of anything I can think of, but 1 12oz bottle just seems insane. Surely there's a good medium ground. I would assume it's meant to be sold by the 4 pack.

I think everyone should enjoy the beer. The people who go buy 4 cases of limited releases are dicks. I agree that we should get more than one 12oz bottle, I would be happy with a 4 pack. The problem is there isn't enough for that so I rather more people enjoy the beer than only a low number of people get the beer.

True enough, I was happy with BCBCS because I was able to buy it by the 4 pack. I'm having a BOMB and BCBCS right now and I feel like both are better than KBS so I'm not too stressed about it. I think a larger liquor/beer&wine store should at least get 3-4 cases allowing them to sell a limit of 1 4 pack and then have enough to go around.

Does anyone know if MLK Food Store was selling singles or 4 packs?
