Ending the night with a Winterbraun - Lost Coast Brewery. Perfect desert beer after a hopbomb (Ruinten).

I had Hop Rod Rye in mind when I bought it. It definitely has more of a rye note to it. It was good, I was just expecting something else I suppose.

Friday night! Revisit review night as usual. Most of these I havent had in 3 years!

One of the best examples of oatmeal stout out there. So great. Big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, dark bread, toast, oats, caramel, light coffee, light herbal, and roasted earthiness. Great complexity and very robust with an impressive mouthfeel as well.

Great DIPA! BB date = its fresh. Big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, peach, pineapple, orange peel, floral, grass, citrus rind, caramel, bread, pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of malt sweetness but it doesnt trump the hops, quite crisp too. Very delicious stuff.

I usually skip buying this because no bottle dating, but the store I went to in Lansing last weekend puts a stock date on their price tags(Oades Party store). Great DIPA. Big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, rye, caramel, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Tons of citrus/earthy hops with a good amount of rye/caramel malt sweetness that just almost balances. Really damn delicious.

Thought I'd never see this one again. First review was an obvious old bottle. This is awesome. Not Vitus status, but it's getting up there. Big banana, orange peel, pear, apple, bubblegum, wheat, bread, light honey, light clove, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Awesome malt/yeast balance and very robust. So smooth.

Worst head retention ever, but the taste makes up for it. Awesome complexity of tart raspberry and fruity/funky yeast with balanced red wine barrel notes and musty leather/clove earthiness. Yum

    Cheers!

I haven't been super impressed with Foolproof, but will give this a try. Raincloud was a good effort too - nice to have an up and coming local. They are twenty minutes from my house.

Perennial Sump. Big, big coffee, brown-sugary sweetness, vanilla and some spice at the end. I'm sure the BA version is more spectacular, but this is very, very nice!
