Are there any lager themed breweries out there?

Jack's Abby is the first to come to mind but there are others as well.

    Oh, another is Gunpowder Falls.

    Cheers!

Anyone know the difference between lagers and ales? Oh and where do stouts/porters fit in?

    They're everywhere!
In Germany, their numbers are so vast that they essentially control the outcome of elections.
Anheuser-Busch makes others tremble with fear.
Jack's Abby is the one that will give you street cred around here.
In my city, Singlecut comes the closest.

Here you go: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what is the difference between lagers and ales

As for stouts and porters, the difference between the two doesn't seem to go much further than their names. I think people think that stouts tend to have a richer, thicker mouthfeel. But tell that to Founders Porter.

Ahhh - lmgtfy - very nice

My post was just my bad sense of humour - a reference to this epic and ongoing thread:

Spoetzel Brewery, the brewer of all Shiner beers are almost exclusively lagers. Granted, they wouldn't be considered craft or a microbrewery, but they do brew a bunch of lagers that range from mediocre to good.

Saint Patricks brewing in Colorado is pretty new and brews only lagers. They are doing a great job.
