    Headed to Asheville today! The plan is to eat lunch at Wicked Weed, visit Green Man and lastly, get some bottles at Appalachian Vintner...pictures to come!

    Not sure if you are passing by Morganton, NC (about an hr from Asheville), but check out Fonta Flora as well - they weren't opened yet when I stopped in a few weeks back, but they were really awesome people and looked like a cool spot in a sleepy town. Wicked weed was awesome by the way - great food and amazing beer.

    Last Tuesday, I opened a growler of Alpine Keene Idea and decided to fill and empty swing top bottle of 330ml BFM Square Root of 225 just to see how it will be. From what I've read, apparently transferring isn't a good thing to do and that you'll lose a lot carbonation among other things. Last night, exactly 1 week later I opened it and here was the result:

    Wow! It was just as good as a week ago. Carbonation was perfect and so was the flavor. Last week, I had it side by side with a Chillwave and liked the Chillwave better. I opened a Chillwave again together with this one and I liked Keene Idea better this time. I'll be looking for more BFM beers just for the bottle. Oh, the the Sq.Rt 225 itself was a really good saison as well.

    The craft shop in Arlon, Belgium I visit got in a shipment of Founders beer. A nice treat to get over here.

    Well happy lunch people! I have made my favorite basil potato salad ( too easy with mayo,dijon mustard, lemon juice, evoo and chopped basil, salt and pepper) It goes great with the kolsch. [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Having one of these beauties to start off. This brew is aptly named cuz my wife is sick in bed upstairs, so if she decides to investigate what I'm doing and goes undercover as a tree outside, she's gonna shut this shit down faster than you can say bunch-a-munchy-crunchy-carrots (Obscure Octonauts reference for all you parents out there. Happy HumpDay all.


    Listening to some ear candy (the solo that starts @ 2:41 is killer)
