Update on Alchemist's second brewery

    The Alchemist, the Waterbury brewery that makes Heady Topper beer, is close to finalizing plans for a second brewery, according to co-owner Jen Kimmich.

    Should the deal proceed, the new brewery would be in a central Vermont town “very close” to Waterbury, Kimmich said. She declined to name the location until the deal is final.

    I figured they would end up out of Waterbury, that's too bad. Sad to see logistics and town crap force a business out. Great for the state, sucks for the town

    I hope they are doing it in Morrisville. Way cheaper to operate there than in Waterbury (or Stowe) and they could probably get some money from the town, since they just won a big grant. Sure it is far from the interstate, but would be even closer to Hill Farmstead (and closer for me :grinning:). "Central Vermont" is such an odd term, referring to such a large area in such a small state.
