There will be a 4pk of Black Note in a box sitting in front of my house sometime tomorrow.

Is it true that a separate distributor handles the release of Black Note and not Brown?

Depends on where you live. JJ Taylor handles all the Bell's distro in West/SW Florida

Oh I see, never heard of them in South FL, I think Gold Coast does Bells for us. Damn... that explains why.

Their main distro area, i believe, is in Minnesota (which got Black Note) sooo it could make it to Florida but only where JJ Taylor distributes

ABC in Venice has a case. 2pp.
In a related story, Brindley's Liqour(aka Island Time Liqour) in Venice also got a case. For the past few months they have had a "beer guy" that makes decisions at the store related to craft beer. He also is on BA and has posted in local forums trying to get folks into his store. Here's how his case of KBS went: He bought 3 four packs for himself, another employee bought one, and he sold a buddy of his one. Not sure about the last few bottles. Just thought this was a poor way to run a business, and that other BA's in the area should know. They lost my business(every summer Saturday before the beach) and a the business of a friend of mine. If you're in the Venice area, go see Patrick at ABC, and skip Brindleys Liqours(Island Time Liqours).

I'm on the edge with this post. It's a fuckload of words. Some of the other posts are too wordy, but I always have a good time reading them. Even better since I got glasses.

The IP Trade posts get way too wordy though, and I don't have a good time, no love from the BA's like at the South Atlantic posts. Understandable, I don't read enough to be a regular so why should they treat me like one? But the number of people that post there just turns me off.

I also hate crowds really, hell, when I go to church and see a line of 8 parishioners barely fitting in the pew, I think to myself: "Fuck every single one of you fucking fucks for being at my place of worship."

Sorry Jive, just wanted to have a little fun with your words ...Cheers

I was at Funky Buddha the other day during the day (about 1 pm), and I was the only one there. One other person arrived before I left, but because of the serious lack of people my first thought was that this place is going to go out of business. I guess people in South Florida don't drink craft beer at 1pm on a Tuesday afternoon like they do in Asheville.

It was great for me and my family, but I have never seen a brewery tap room that larger so empty in my life.

You know, I tried one of my KBS bottles last night....
It's solid, but BCBS puts it down pretty hard. It's missing that boozy warmth that BCBS has, though maybe it's because BCBS is higher ABV. There sure wasn't much coffee taste either.

I'm glad I got to try it for the first time, but the hype for this beer is way beyond it's taste. I felt BCBS lived up to the hype, and it was cheaper and easier to get.

Founders Imperial Stout is pretty damn close in quality to KBS honestly, and I'll be happy to not bother hunting KBS next year.

I agree with you 100% jive, I tried one of mine last night as well, and it was missing that "wow" factor. It was good but def not worth hunting around for.

Have any of you guys tried the Prairie Bomb! or the Noirs/Bible Belt? I feel like that has potential to edge out KBS.

I just started getting a little cellar going and I have great beer but most are singles (darkness, abyss, DL...) but I do have about 28 BCBS but I dont wanna trade it away for something potentially worse...
