This is what special releases are coming to. The more calls/requests a store gets the higher the price, and rewards for spending a lot of money.

The part that bothers me is that the money should go to the BREWERIES.

Picked up mine at Kay's on Tuesday, went in today to see if they might have any more, but they are all out. However, since we are talking about limited beers, and specifically stouts/porters, I managed to pick up some Dogfish Worldwide Stout, and Evil Twin Imperial Doughnut Break. They had quite a few of the Dogfish world wide stouts if anybody was looking for them, only a few of the Doughnut Break left. I agree, this store is really stepping up, and they do know about there craft brews...

I work at a store, the questions don't really bother me as much as customers lying about talking to people and basically begging to get put on the list when were trying to look out for our regulars. I would much rather sell beer to the people I see come in the store all the time, rather than someone that's just following around a truck/just going to buy a limited beer and never be seen again. Sorry for any people I may have said no to but if you come into the store I work at constantly, I will absolutely hook you up.

10.99, 1 bottle limit at the store formerly known as "Total Wines" in Milford. Screw them, hope the store burns down for that or hope the real Total Wines moves in close and shuts them down.

    yes

edit: also theyre the ones mentioned above about implementing a tracking system so only those who spend the most will get the limited releases.

I was told that 90 cases came into CT. even the biggest accounts only saw one case each.

I was also told that a place in Norwalk tried using their leverage and called Founder's and was told to F*&^ off. lol. even they only got one case.

so, all in all I'm happy to get one bottle.

That is absolutely crazy. You could split it up by the ounce. Then you could please 48 customers.

Yes, I have trolled as a guest for years to see trends, get announcements, reviews, etc. I think the Alstrom Brothers do good work for the beer community in their personal reviews and operating the forums. I had to join because you guys are slaughtering retailers for this sudden phenomenon of "chase beers" like Maine Lunch, Stone Enjoy By, NEBCO's Gandhi-Bot and now Founders' KBS.
This wasn't our idea nor our doing. My Drinx Unlimted, Inc. rep was allocated 13 cases for 112 accounts. I got one complete case and was blown out within an hour selling one bottle at a time.
Leaving aside the harague of constant: "do you have KBS?" calls is the pregnant pause on the other end as you guys try to figure a different way to ask the same question and somehow devise a different result.
I'm sorry you don't agree with what I say here, but I am trying to be honest with you posters.

Holy crap. I thought about going there. The New Britain store was selling it for half that.

Really ignorant reply. I wouldn't expect you to understand the how the world works from the couch in your parents' basement, but so be it. Of course I have to carry it. It's one of the small advantages I have over my competitiors that I offer a decent craft-beer selection and a couple guys who love it to work here and communicate an honest evaluation to the people who shop here (who bother to walk in the door here).
As to being "upset" its a real nuisancer that a bunch of indigent lazies who can't be bother to loaf down to their local packy and bother to build a relationship with a store are tying up my phone all day. If you were halfway honest with yourself you'd realize this was Founders' issue and not any retailers'. Call them 50 times a day; you'll have KBS by the truckful.

Welcome to what half the country has been putting up with for years. It's a recent phenomenon in CT. Not in many other states.
