I don't believe Stockertown deserves any burden of responsibility for their "selective distribution". Word is they only got at most 110 cases; I wouldn't want to allocate that...

Went to Wegmans in KoP at 1130, was told to come back at 1. Returned at 1258 and was handed the last bottle by the manager who told me to come at 1. Looks like it was a 1 bottle max, at least when I was there.

It was. I was there too and it was initially a 2 bottles per person limit and it got changed to 1/person once 30+ people showed up. You must've gotten there about 7 seconds after they finished handing them out, because the manager had 3 bottles left over after everyone there for it got their bottle.

Just called Beer Heaven, they're sold out.

I literally just saw a store get their one case delivery from Stockertown today with my own eyes, and a friend manages a Whole Foods' beer department and they got their delivery yesterday. But thanks for playing!

That being said, Founders does like a uniform release date, but Stockertown stuck to that and didn't start to deliver it until Monday, perhaps even Tuesday, of this week.

No shortage of "weasels" in the beer game...that said, there are some "good guys" too! I am a strong supporter of the Founders Brewery as they're from my home state of Michigan and do some terrific things for the community. In addition to creating some amazing beers!

It's not "selective" distrobution, it's called servicing your best customers. Why on earth would a distributor stiff an account that blows through 6-7 kegs of Founders every week? Of course that place is going to get to "special" stuff.

Meanwhile you are bragging about travelling all over the Delaware Valley to stock up for trades... whalez brah.

What has surprised me about this thread is the amount of work people will go through to send all of the kbs in Philly to other areas for rare trades. I guess the new beer game is fighting with people who don't even like the beer.

my buddy actually works at Stockertown and said they got about 200 cases total. Most places were getting 1-2 cases and they should be there today or soon if they are coming from them. He pretty much said that the people that are getting them are the places that move the founders stuff the best, don't know if it was really selective but it seems fair if the product is a Founders product.

If it's a commodity that will get me trades for other beers I cannot find and I have the time, it's my business. And what you are saying about "servicing your best customers" is totally untrue. Why would a Wegmans who sells a ton of beer (including Founders) get one case of a certain beer?! Every retailer is at the whim of the beer distributor. Please educate yourself.

I know allocations are based on total founders sales(full lineup) but I would wager they allocate KBS based on the sales of all day IPA alone.

Then they should allocate two cases alone to me. All day is always in my fridge.

Food and Friends + Monde both said they're not getting KBS at all.

This site should be called beertraders.com there's no advocacy in taking beer out of the market so you yourself can make rare trades.

I was able to get a bottle at wegmans, 1 bottle limit I think he said I got the last one as we'll. the place that said would have enough for all people on the list, never called and said everything was spoken for. I was 8th on the list so unless they were giving out 4 packs I got screwed. I know they only got one case but they must have let people get a bunch. Ah we'll 1 bottle works, was hoping for 2 one for now one to age but I'm happy I got one and without paying $12 a bottle.

I am only asking you this: If you have a way to sample beers that are not available in PA, please make a suggestion. There seem to be lots of traders on this site. So I guess you better address them all.

You own words "it's a commodity". You are selfishly hoarding, there are plenty of BA's in the area who would like to buy a 4pk and enjoy them. They're not able to because of D-Bags like you.

You don't get the difference between trading something that is more common in this area but not available elsewhere is not the same as hoarding a rare special relase that's not even from PA.

What I do, and have been doing for almost 30 years of craft beer, is drink the best beers available to ME. I'm not so self centered to think I am entitiled to every beer in the world.

    Go report that.
